One dog is missing and the other one was rescued.
The total cost for treatment for the rescued dog would be around Rs. 8k to 10k.

So, this is an appeal to raise urgent funds for Dog food.

1 - Bag for the dogs I look after.
1 - Bag for the dogs who are in my Father’s work space.
1 - Bag for the dogs my cousins have started feeding in Muzzafarnagar.

SPAY and NEUTER DRIVE :
We have been able to send 11 Females and 1 Male for their SNIP TRIP, if we include the emergency spay of our 1st female then the total count is 12 Females.
That’s a huge number.
This is of course the start - Many to be sent too, But approx 5 Females I look after are Lactating Moms.
Many live in the narrow lanes. Have to figure out a way to take them out.
Males are kinda aggressive and alpha.
The area is congested etc.
But in the area where no other volunteer or ngo was active, the dogs had to live in terrible state. This is a big achievement.

STERISATION is one of the most important step to reduce or lessen the misery of Dogs.
Be it a Stray or a Pet (No Dog is LESS IMPORTANT) - A Stray dog has to bear the pain of losing her babies to rash driving or to deadly diseases or may be relocating the babies by locals on the other hand Breeding or specifically Home Breeding is Illegal, the pain of getting separated from their babies again and again, babies being sold to people without any proper verification and later the cases of abandonments, the females possessing the risk of Pyometra etc, and the worst part is for Every dog we buy, a Shelter dog loses a home or even a chance.
SPAY and NEUTER is the way to save (N) of lives, the count we cannot even imagine.
Ghukna Mode, Ghaziabad is one of the places where Dogs suffer from Mange, Ticks, Fleas, Wounds, Tumour growths etc. They depend on the local market of groceries for Food, searching the discarded waste in Drains(Nali in Hindi), drinking the sewage water and yet Wagging their tails upon seeing Humans.
I have been living here from past 25 years and I have not seen a single person putting a bowl of water outside their home, for few instances I have seen few grocery vendors feeding leftovers or throwing a tomato or two to the dogs.
The Puppies here have not survived ever.
In such a congested area where even Humans cannot walk properly how would a growing puppy run, he gets killed one way or another.
On seeing these conditions and realising so late, I decided to do something. At least change a bit. Even If I cannot get them adopted, I can try my best to make their lives easier here.
With this hope - SPREAD SMILES began.
We have managed to get 10 Females of the main outside area Sterilised, there are approx 100+ Dogs in the whole area, as there are small small streets(lanes/Galiya in Hindi).
Few people have been the Pillar of Strength in this Journey - and for their support and guidance.
for the very first package of food and collars with which mainstream documentation started.

Dogs are considered as “Humans Best Friends”.
And, still we Humans allow our best friends to just leave them on roads, dying of hunger and what not. Eating the things we would’t dare to smell.
Living in the most poor and miserable conditions.
We domesticated them for our need.
It was a two way business - They Protect Us, and We feed them. But how come it turned out that they are still protecting us, they are still acting as the scavengers for us but we forgot out promise and pact made to them.
Our speeding vehichles kill them.
Our brutality kill them.
But still they don’t hate us, upon seeing a human they always wag their tail ❤️
And that’s LOVE.

First Post :
Every Stray’s Story -
It was a very windy cold night and amid the dust and dirt, we were born in a litter of five. Our mother struggled to give birth as it was very painful for her and as she hadn’t had any meal in past 3-4 days, her whole energy was drained. But, somehow she regained her energy and pushed hard. As soon as we were born, there was nobody to look after us and our poor mommy took care of 5 of us who haven’t even opened their eyes. She ran and ran and searched for food so that she can lactate enough to feed us. She was beaten, shooed away, thrown water at just for being or looking at the food we plan to throw. But she never gave up. Now, we were young enough to atleast walk but still nobody even cared to caress our faces or pat on our heads. What are all these creatures, we wonder - Who have no sympathy, no kindness - asked one of us to our Mommy and she replied - Humans !
What are we gonna give our future generations ? A Planet that has been converted to hell.
Thousand of babies are born on streets and killed by our fast running vehicles. Least you can do is not to torture them, can’t save them ? Atleast don’t kill them. We have have have to learn how to Co-exist. This attitude of ours that we are the most intelligent species can take us to Mars but not in the heart of the one who has created this whole universe.
Please focus on Feeding/Spaying/Rescuing/Adopting/Loving/Caring/Donating and most of all KINDNESS.
