The Department of Electronics and Communication at AKGEC organized its Annual Technical Workshop, “ROBOVERSE-2024,” on May 25, 2024. Conducted by Team Phoenix in collaboration with the IEEE Communication Society Student Branch Chapter, the workshop focused on the Internet of Robotic Things (IoRT) and attracted 76 first-year students. Participants received hands-on experience in IoRT applications, programming, cloud computing, and hardware skills. The event included quizzes, project demonstrations, and practical sessions on Arduino and NodeMCU platforms. It culminated in a project to develop a surveillance robot using the ESP32-CAM. Winners and organizers received prizes and certificates from Prof. (Dr.) Neelesh Kumar Gupta, HoD, ECE.

The Value Education (VE) Cell of Ajay Kumar Garg Engineering College, Ghaziabad, organized a 3-day Teachers’ Orientation Program (TOP) on “The Vision for Value-Based Education - Realizing the Aspiration articulated in NEP 2020” from May 20-22, 2024. It saw 54 educators from 12 schools in Rajasthan, Haryana, and Uttar Pradesh participate enthusiastically. The TOP aimed to foster human-friendly and nature-friendly mindsets in students through holistic education aligned with NEP 2020, covering decision-making, health hygiene, mutually fulfilling interactions, a just and equitable society, and environmentally responsible conduct. Facilitated by Prof. Gopal Babu and the VE Cell team, the event featured an inaugural session blessed by Dr. Hemant Ahuja and Prof. V.K. Parashar and a closing ceremony graced by Dr. R.K. AKGEC Ghaziabad proudly serves as a Project Implementation Agency (PIA) for the DDU-GKY initiative, empowering rural youth from underprivileged backgrounds. With unwavering determination, Team Blockchain Research Lab at AKGEC organized "BLOCKVERSE’24," a two-phase technical, analytical, and mathematical competitive event on April 20, 2024. The first round involved building a project to replicate innovative schemas provided by the team. The subsequent round featured two sub-phases: BlackBox and CryptHunt, challenging participants' critical, analytical, and mathematical thinking. The event significantly enhanced participants' knowledge and innovativeness, fostering insightful exploration. Winners received prize money from a pool of Rs. 9000, and all participants received certificates. Admissions for the 2024-25 academic year are now open for M.Tech programs in CSE, EN, EC, and ME at Ajay Kumar Garg Engineering College. Candidates must hold a B.Tech/BE degree in relevant engineering disciplines with over 60% aggregate marks. Merit-based scholarships, offering up to 100% fee waiver for both the first and second years, are available for deserving candidates with more than 65% aggregate marks in B.Tech. Additionally, AKGEC students receive the AKTU gold medal annually for achieving the highest ranking among all M.Tech programs.

The Machine Learning Center of Excellence, under the CSE department, organized "Beyond The Binary,” a comprehensive workshop on April 27th and 28th, 2024. The first day covered Basics of Python, Machine Learning, and Deep Learning, while the second day focused on Mathematics of Machine Learning, Hands-on Projects, and a Contest with a prize pool of rupees 7500.
