We are delighted to announce the successful completion of the KUKA Robot Basic Training by AKGEC Skill Foundation for students from Sharda University and an international student from Cameroon! This intensive program provided hands-on experience and a deep understanding of KUKA robots, enhancing participants' skills in robotics and automation. Through this training, students gained practical knowledge and expertise, preparing them for future challenges in the field of robotics.

The Department of Electronics and Communication at AKGEC organized its Annual Technical Workshop, “ROBOVERSE-2024,” on May 25, 2024. Conducted by Team Phoenix in collaboration with the IEEE Communication Society Student Branch Chapter, the workshop focused on the Internet of Robotic Things (IoRT) and attracted 76 first-year students. Participants received hands-on experience in IoRT applications, programming, cloud computing, and hardware skills. The event included quizzes, project demonstrations, and practical sessions on Arduino and NodeMCU platforms. It culminated in a project to develop a surveillance robot using the ESP32-CAM. Winners and organizers received prizes and certificates from Prof. (Dr.) Neelesh Kumar Gupta, HoD, ECE.

An Expert Guest Lecture cm Technical Training Workshop on "Digital Hardware Design using Verilog HDL" was held on May 23rd, 2024, for 2nd-year students. Delivered by Mr. Vikram Singh, Senior Staff Engineer at STMicroelectronics, Greater Noida, the workshop catered to 35 participants, ensuring a solid grasp of hardware design concepts. Engaging Q&A sessions and hands-on Verilog HDL coding using the CADENCE Design and Simulation Tool provided valuable knowledge and practical skills, fostering a collaborative environment. This event explored Verilog HDL applications, enhancing placement opportunities in VLSI design.

Mr. Shailendra Singh Ojha, Assistant Professor in ECE, provided an in-depth understanding of RF energy harvesting technology, discussing its latest advancements, practical applications, and future potential. The session included lively discussions on the scalability and integration of RF harvesting with other renewable energy sources and highlighted research opportunities for students. The talk significantly enhanced participants' knowledge of wireless energy transfer technologies and inspired further exploration in their projects and research endeavors.

SAE AKGEC successfully organized Aacar 9.0, an automotive workshop on May 18-19, 2024, offering participants a comprehensive understanding of automotive technology, from basic principles to advanced concepts. Thanks to collaboration with BOSCH Lab (JCC and EBCS), attendees gained valuable hands-on experience in well-equipped labs. The Value Education (VE) Cell of Ajay Kumar Garg Engineering College, Ghaziabad, organized a 3-day Teachers’ Orientation Program (TOP) on “The Vision for Value-Based Education - Realizing the Aspiration articulated in NEP 2020” from May 20-22, 2024. It saw 54 educators from 12 schools in Rajasthan, Haryana, and Uttar Pradesh participate enthusiastically. The TOP aimed to foster human-friendly and nature-friendly mindsets in students through holistic education aligned with NEP 2020, covering decision-making, health hygiene, mutually fulfilling interactions, a just and equitable society, and environmentally responsible conduct. Facilitated by Prof. Gopal Babu and the VE Cell team, the event featured an inaugural session blessed by Dr. Hemant Ahuja and Prof. V.K. Parashar and a closing ceremony graced by Dr. R.K. Agarwal, Shri R.P. Singh, and Dr. Biswajit Saha. Certificates were distributed to all participants, and the Director General praised the event's success and committed to future programs promoting social welfare.

AKGEC Ghaziabad proudly serves as a Project Implementation Agency (PIA) for the DDU-GKY initiative, empowering rural youth from underprivileged backgrounds. Aligned with government campaigns like Make in India and Digital India, our institution has trained 259 candidates over three years, focusing on minority groups, SC/ST categories, and rural girls. Despite challenges, our efforts have borne fruit, with students securing positions at esteemed organizations like Amazon and Red Stone Consulting. On May 11, 2024, AKGEC Skills Foundation hosted an Award Ceremony, recognizing 33 students with tablets and a cash prize of Rs. 3000 each as a Placement Incentive, along with additional rewards from AKGEC for motivation. Special recognition was given to two students securing higher-paying positions.

The Programming Club of the Department of Computer Science & Engineering organized a two-day workshop titled " 3.0" at AKGEC on April 16th, 2024, from 8:30 AM to 4:00 PM, and April 17th, 2024, from 8:30 AM to 1:30 PM, followed by a Coding Contest on April 18th, 2024, from 4:00 PM to 6:30 PM. With 155 participants and 40 Programming Club team members, the workshop was tailored to accommodate the skill levels of first and second-year students, ensuring a solid grasp of programming concepts. The subsequent coding contest provided participants with an opportunity to demonstrate their newly acquired skills, fostering a competitive yet collaborative environment among students from different academic years.

The Computer Science and Engineering Department at Ajay Kumar Garg Engineering College, Ghaziabad, hosted a guest lecture on "Digital/Internet Trends" for B.Tech CSE students on May 13th. Mr. Ajay Tiwari, Co-founder & CEO of Dimension Angle Techno Sol. Pvt. Ltd., conducted the lecture, focusing on internet marketing strategies to improve visibility, engagement, and conversions. Key topics included SMO, SEO, PPC strategies, and Google AdWords campaigns. The lecture aimed to empower students with practical knowledge for enhancing brand visibility and achieving business growth.

Big Data Centre of Excellence at the Department of Information Technology, AKGEC organized "Townhall 2.0," a workshop on April 13th and 14th, 2024.

The workshop was tailored for first and second-year students covering a diverse array of computer science topics, such as DSA, Block chain, UI/UX Designing, Machine Learning, Web Development, and App Development, etc.

Participants actively tackled tasks from each field and won cash prizes and certificates. This initiative was crafted to nurture a dynamic learning environment , providing ample opportunities for student growth and research exploration.

With unwavering determination, Team Blockchain Research Lab at AKGEC organized "BLOCKVERSE’24," a two-phase technical, analytical, and mathematical competitive event on April 20, 2024. The first round involved building a project to replicate innovative schemas provided by the team. The subsequent round featured two sub-phases: BlackBox and CryptHunt, challenging participants' critical, analytical, and mathematical thinking. The event significantly enhanced participants' knowledge and innovativeness, fostering insightful exploration. Winners received prize money from a pool of Rs. 9000, and all participants received certificates. BLOCKVERSE’24 was a resounding success, invigorating budding innovators and inspiring them to expand their creative boundaries.

Admissions for the 2024-25 academic year are now open for M.Tech programs in CSE, EN, EC, and ME at Ajay Kumar Garg Engineering College. Candidates must hold a B.Tech/BE degree in relevant engineering disciplines with over 60% aggregate marks. Merit-based scholarships, offering up to 100% fee waiver for both the first and second years, are available for deserving candidates with more than 65% aggregate marks in B.Tech. Additionally, AKGEC students receive the AKTU gold medal annually for achieving the highest ranking among all M.Tech programs.

AKGEC's ITeR8 workshop, held from April 19th to April 22nd, 2024, introduced first-year students to Competitive Programming. It covered key topics such as C++ basics, Arrays and Strings, Functions, STL, Searching and Sorting algorithms, and Recursion, aiming to enhance problem-solving skills. The four-day event featured interactive sessions simplifying complex topics. On April 23rd, a coding contest enabled participants to apply their newly acquired skills in a competitive environment.

The Machine Learning Center of Excellence, under the CSE department, organized "Beyond The Binary,” a comprehensive workshop on April 27th and 28th, 2024. The first day covered Basics of Python, Machine Learning, and Deep Learning, while the second day focused on Mathematics of Machine Learning, Hands-on Projects, and a Contest with a prize pool of rupees 7500. The workshop was a resounding success, leaving participants inspired with new ideas and innovative approaches in Mathematics and Computer Science. It provided a remarkable experience for both the team and participants, enhancing their expertise in machine learning, deep learning, and GEN-AI. Dr. Sonam Gupta, faculty coordinator of MLCoE, provided invaluable guidance for the workshop's success.
