Independence day is both an occasion to celebrate and to remember the struggles of freedom fighters.
At Gurukul The School on 15th August 2023, the celebration started with auspicious flag hoisting ceremony reverberating the joyous fervour of freedom. Here are some glimpses of the celebration and the special assembly conducted by Grade-III A on this national festival.

'There is only one happiness in life, is to love and to be loved'.
Grade I A learners depicted this emotion beautifully by presenting a class assembly .They shared about pink spot of love and how to expand it. It was beautifully depicted through a story and song. Children conveyed the idea that each one of us have a spot of love, which can grow each day by loving and caring for others.

Children of Grade II A presented the assembly on 'Parents Day' to show their love and gratitude for their beloved parents. They also shared about a few books that can be read out to parents to cherish the occasion.
Grade II B presented the assembly on the topic ‘Reading is Fun’. The children expressed their love for reading and how it can be made an integral part of our daily routine.
We also felicitated our talented students and acknowledged their achievements in SOF and Silverzone Olympiads. Spell Bee winners of Grade 3, 4 and 5 were also appreciated. It was a great moment for all of us.
