He touched upon the various aspects of live electronic music performance like constructing a live set, demonstration of various tools along with his own process, discoveries, musical journey and so much more! About Jay Pei: Ableton certified trainer, ⁠Jay Pei is a New Delhi based producer and DJ who has pioneered his own unique sound, enthralling audiences across India over the years. Building his music and sets upon rhythmic foundations of the 4/4 groove, Jay's more recent experimentation has been towards integrating cinematic elements into the atmospheric soundscapes of his set. We had the incredible pianist and composer, Ronojit Chaliha - Ron Cha visit the GMI campus recently for a wonderful performance workshop wherein he touched upon the various aspects of performance and musicianship, along with insights from his own musical journey and experience in the industry and so much more! About Ron Cha: Ronojit Chaliha aka Ron Cha is a Pianist, Composer and Educator from Assam, India. He has had a Western Classical Piano background for 15 years and then crossed over to Jazz, RnB and Gospel music. Ron is recipient of the 1st A.R. Rahman 100% Full Scholarship to Berklee College of Music. He has toured America, Europe and Asia with artists such as Ferenc Németh, Gregory Tardy, Jacques Schwarz-Bart and others. He has performed and recorded alongside many great artistes such as Loy Mendonsa, Gino Banks, and many others. Ron is currently working on an Assamese folk music project and the Jazz with an Attitude (JWA) project.
