कोलकाता, 21 अप्रैल, 2024: प्राचीन भारतीय खेल गिल्ली डंडा को पुनः जीवंत करने के उद्देश्य से भारतीय गिल्ली डंडा संघ द्वारा गिल्ली डंडा एसोसिएशन ऑफ़ बंगाल सहयोग से 21 अप्रैल को कोलकाता के सांस्कृतिक केंद्र में एक जोशीला वर्कशॉप का आयोजन किया। इस कार्यक्रम में सुखद भागीदारी के साथ पुराने खिलाड़ियों और नए लोगों के बीच उत्साहपूर्ण भागीदारी देखने को मिला, जो खेल की जटिलताओं को सीखने के लिए उत्साहित थे।
गिल्ली डंडा, जो प्राचीन भारतीय खेल की मूल जड़ों में लौटने का अनुभव कर रहा है, हाल ही में बढ़ते हुए जोश से गूंज रहा है, जो देश भर में पारंपरिक खेलों को संरक्षित और प्रोत्साहित करने की कोशिशों से प्रेरित है।

यह वर्कशॉप एक बड़े दर्शक समूह को गिल्ली डंडा की जटिलताओं का परिचय देने का उद्देश्य रखता था, जो उत्साह और कौशल के विकास को बढ़ावा देने के लिए हर उम्र के उत्साहियों में रूचि उत्पन्न करता है।

"हम मानते हैं कि गिल्ली डंडा में विशेष सांस्कृतिक महत्व और अंतर्निहित मूल्य है, और हमारा प्रयास है कि यह पारंपरिक खेल आधुनिक युग में जीवित रहे," भारतीय गिल्ली डंडा संघ के तकनिकी निदेशक मास्टर बी. के भारत ने कहा। "इस वर्कशॉप और इसी प्रकार की घास के रूट स्तर की पहलों के माध्यम से, हम युवाओं में गिल्ली डंडा के प्रति एक उत्साह जगाने की आशा करते हैं और हमारी समृद्ध खेलीय विरासत को बचाएं।"

वर्कशॉप में गिल्ली डंडा के विभिन्न पहलुओं को शामिल करने वाले इंटरैक्टिव सत्र शामिल थे, जिसमें खिलाड़ियों को सही तकनीकों के बारे में सीखाया गया, जिसमें गिल्ली (एक छोटी लकड़ी की छड़ी) को ठीक से पकड़ने और डंडा (एक बड़ी लकड़ी की छड़ी) के साथ मारने की तकनीकें शामिल थीं। साथ ही, भागीदारों को खेल में शामिल नियम और रणनीतियों के बारे में भी जानकारी प्राप्त हुई, साथ ही इसके ऐतिहासिक महत्व के बारे में भी।

"हमें ऐसे विभिन्न लोगों के समूह को एक साथ आते देखने में खुशी हो रही है, जो खेल के माध्यम से हमारी सांस्कृतिक विरासत को मनाते हैं," बंगाल एसोसिएशन के अध्यक्ष श्री पारस मिश्रा ने कहा। "गिल्ली डंडा सिर्फ एक खेल नहीं है; यह हमारी परंपराओं और मूल्यों का प्रतिबिम्ब है। इस प्रकार के कार्यक्रम हमें हमारी जड़ों से जुड़ने में मदद करते हैं।"

इस कार्यक्रम ने स्थानीय समुदाय से भारी समर्थन प्राप्त किया, और अधिकांश भागीदार उनके समुदायों में गिल्ली डंडा का अभ्यास जारी रखने और खेल के बारे में जागरूकता फैलाने का वायदा किया।

जैसे ही कोलकाता के आसमान पर सूर्य की रोशनी पड़ी, हंसी और सखापन की आवाजों के साथ, प्रतीत होता है कि शहर के निवासियों के दिलों में गिल्ली डंडा का आत्मा एक नए घर में मिल गई है। कोलकाता गिल्ली डंडा वर्कशॉप जैसी पहल के रास्ते देखने के साथ, इस प्राचीन खेल का अविचल आकर्षण आगे भी नस्लों तक बना रहने के लिए तैयार है। समापन समारोह में प्रमाण पत्र वितरण राज्य एसोसिएशन के सचिव श्री सुप्रियो बिस्वास एवं भारतीय गिल्ली डंडा संघ के तकनिकी निदेशक मास्टर बी. के भारत द्वारा किया गया।
