Hon'ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi today inaugurated the much awaited Kartarpur Corridor. Chief Minister of Punjab, Captain Amarinder Singh and other eminent dignitaries were also present at the occasion.

Ahead of the 550th birth anniversary of Guru Nanak Dev Ji, Hon'ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi will dedicate Kartarpur Corridor to the nation today. It links the Dera Baba Nanak shrine in Punjab's Gurdaspur district with the Kartarpur Sahib Gurdwara in Pakistan. A proud moment for India.

Founded in 1504 AD, Kartarpur means "Place of God". Irrespective of religion or caste, all people lived together here. Now, visit the holy shrine directly with Kartarpur Corridor.

Located on the right bank of River Ravi, Kartarpur represents the first 'Sikh Commune'. The holy shrine would be joined with Dera Baba Nanak, located on the left bank of the river with Kartarpur Corridor for Indian pilgrims facilitating a smooth and easy passage.

India has constructed a four-lane highway in Dera Baba Nanak in Gurdaspur district, Punjab connecting the 'zero point' for a smooth journey to Kartarpur.

Kartarpur corridor will facilitate visa-free travel for Indian pilgrims to Kartarpur Sahib, which was established in 1522 by the Sikh faith founder Guru Nanak Dev Ji.

The first guru of Sikhism, Guru Nanak Dev, founded Kartarpur Sahib in 1504 CE on the right bank of the Ravi River and established the first Sikh commune there.

Kartarpur corridor connects Gurudwara Darbar Sahib at Kartarpur, Pakistan with Dera Baba Nanak shrine in Gurdaspur, India. Long pending demand of Sikh community is fulfilled with this corridor.

Kartarpur corridor will provide easy access to devotees to pay obeisance at the historical and sacred shrine. You would be able to visit the holy Kartarpur site directly.

Kartarpur corridor, all set to be opened, soon will be operational throughout the year and seven days a week so that pilgrims will have a choice to visit it as an individual or in groups.

Kartarpur corridor is planned to have state-of-the-art passenger terminal & facilitation centre, food kiosks, parking areas and security points, ensuring a hassle-free travel of pilgrims.

Pilgrims visiting Kartarpur will have to pay no fee on the inauguration day- 9th of Nov and on the Gurpurab, 12th of Nov 2019.

Step into Kartarpur to visit Gurudwara Darbar Sahib - world's largest Gurudwara with the total area of more than 1500 acres. Guru Nanak Dev Ji spent the final years of his life at Kartarpur.
Gurudwara’s present building was developed in 1925 by Sardar Bhupindar Singh, the Maharaja of Patiala. The Gurudwara is prominent for its location near the border between Pakistan and India.

With the operationalization of Kartarpur Corridor, pilgrims will have quick and smooth access to the holy shrine, Kartarpur.

Ensuring a speedy clearance process, 80 immigration counters have been set up at the Dera Baba Nanak Kartarpur Corridor for the pilgrims who are expected to visit the holy shrine-Gurdwara Darbar Sahib Kartarpur (Punjab, Pakistan).

Committed to realise the smooth, secure & safe access to the holy Gurdwara, The Kartarpur Corridor will have all the necessary passenger amenities to facilitate the pilgrims visiting Gurdwara Darbar Sahib Kartarpur on the banks of the Ravi river in Pakistan.

Inspired by the symbol 'Khanda' representing values of oneness & humanity, design & quality parameters of the Passenger Terminal Building (PTB) complex have been prepared by keeping in view the aspirations and religious sentiments of the followers of Guru Nanak Dev.

The Kartarpur Corridor will have adequate immigration & customs clearance facilities for a smooth movement of approximately 5,000 pilgrims per day.
