Pongal is one of the most joyously celebrated festivals in India, symbolizing happiness and new beginnings. Children celebrated the festival with very exciting activities.🥰🥰🥰

जिस तरह से सूर्य के उत्तरायण होने पर उत्तर भारत में मकर संक्रांति या खिचड़ी मनाई जाती है, ठीक उसी प्रकार दक्षिण भारत में पोंगल का पर्व मनाया जाता है। इस साल पोंगल की शुरुआत आज यानी 15 जनवरी से हो रही है, जिसका समापन 18 जनवरी को होगा। पोंगल चार दिन तक चलता है। इस पर्व में इंद्र, सूर्य, नंदी और कन्याओं की पूजा होती है। पोंगल का पर्व फसल की अच्छी उपज होने की खुशी में मनाया जाता है। यह दक्षिण भारत का प्रमुख पर्व है। इस मौके पर लोग सूर्य देव की उपासना करते हैं। पोंगल पर नए कपड़े पहनकर लोग एक दूसरे के साथ त्योहार मनाते हैं और शुभकामनाएं देते हैं।
