🔥 A question we are often asked is:
Q. How much protein do I need?
Answer:
It varies from person to person. Majorly, there are 4 factors that influence your protein intake (or shall we say, macros intake).
1. Your height
2. Your weight
3. Your goals
4. Your level of physical activity
There are ways to calculate it and you can gather a lot of information online.
We recommend you speak to your coach/trainer/nutritionist to understand more about your protein intake based on the above factors.

A recent study of populations conducted by Harvard suggests that Soy can safely be consumed several times a week, and is likely to provide health benefits—especially when eaten as an alternative to red and processed meat. It is a nutrient-dense source of complete protein.
Soy is unique in that it contains a high concentration of isoflavones, a type of plant estrogen (phytoestrogen) that is similar in function to human estrogen but with much weaker effects. Soy isoflavones can bind to estrogen receptors in the body and cause either weak estrogenic or anti-estrogenic activity. Soy isoflavones and soy protein appear to have different actions in the body based on your ethnicity, current hormone levels and type of soy
Soy foods are rich in nutrients including B vitamins, fiber, potassium and magnesium.
Some studies also suggest that fermented soy is easier to digest and absorbs faster in the system, as fermentation partially breaks down soy's sugars and protein molecules.

Vikas has joined us back after almost a year of rehab. He suffered a shoulder impingement restricting his movements and as we know, most shoulder injuries take time to heal. We got him back to doing some conventional lifts to get his strength back, along with some isolated shoulder work to fix muscle imbalance.
Road to recovery is long but Vikas has bounced back and his "relentlessly persistent" attitude is why we vibe. 🤘

A training program must be as varied as it gets. Having said that, these 5 movements are fundamental. We (un)knowingly perform these activities everyday and they form the basis for our mobility. Functional training consists of exercises that develop strength but also help your nervous system and muscular system coordinate their activity & work together more efficiently. This translates into greater functional capacity as well as a lower risk of injury when you play sports or simply carry out the movements you do every day.
If you can strengthen your ability to do these movements, you’ll maximize your functional capabilities. This, in turn, will transfer over to all part of your life.

If you're sitting there, prioritizing everything else above your health, you're not looking at the bigger picture. Physical exercise is like an investment. It reaps you benefits in the long run. Make time for movement. Doing is better than wishing.

Women's leaderboard is super interesting.
There's a 3 way tie for the first spot.
Sanya, Radhika and Manushi with their top notch performance, all of them did 25 burpees in a minute.
Nish*ta with 23 burpees in 4th place and shalvi with 22 burpees in 5th place.
Interestingly, there's a 2 way tie for 6th spot, a 4 way tie for 8th spot and a 3 way tie for 13th spot. 🎈
