Our vibrant school community at down town School buzzed with enthusiasm as they celebrated International Labour Day! The energetic Agni House students spearheaded a special assembly to honor the tireless efforts of workers worldwide.

The program began with a heartfelt prayer and a renewed commitment through the school pledge. An inspiring speech by one of our talented students shedding light on the significance of the day, reminding us all to cherish the contributions of every worker. A captivating skit, beautifully crafted by our students, further enriched the theme of Labour Day.

We took this special opportunity to express our deepest gratitude to our incredible support staff. Each member received a heartfelt, handmade card from our students, a token of appreciation for their tireless dedication and hard work.

Principal Ms. Maya Fernandes addressed the assembly with wisdom-filled words, emphasizing the crucial role of the labor force in propelling our society forward. dtS’s Grade V students in Social Studies class got engaged in a hands-on activity by drawing maps of the school. They analyzed the layout and identified key features accurately. Divided into groups, they utilized chart papers and materials to craft their maps, guided by educators to revise and refine.
And the outcome was not just maps, but practical application of map-making skills, nurturing observation, collaboration, and presentation abilities.

In between the excitement, they eagerly compared the sizes of their handprints, grasping the concepts of magnitude. Grade 1 students immersed themselves in the enchanting world of stories and books during Library time today. Through captivating storytelling sessions and the freedom to choose their own reading adventures, they honed their reading and listening skills while celebrating and .

Focusing on the 2024 theme 'Read your way,' students discovered the joy of connecting with books that speak to their hearts, building a lifelong love of reading.

Engaging dtS’s Nursery students in a creative painting exercise. Using earbuds and Green paint proved to be an effective way to enhance their fine motor skills. By demonstrating how to delicately dip and dab the earbuds to depict trees, students were encouraged to exercise precise hand movements, crucial for future writing and drawing endeavors.
The vibrant green paint not only reinforced color recognition but also ignited creativity. This hands-on approach provided students with an opportunity to express themselves artistically while promoting coordination, patience, and attention to detail. Through this activity, students not only painted trees but also painted a path towards honing their motor skills and developing their artistic abilities.

Today, the down town school celebrated English Language Day with great enthusiasm.

A special assembly was conducted, commencing with a heartfelt school prayer and the recitation of the pledge. Students showcased their talent by performing a captivating skit of Shakespeare's renowned masterpiece, "The Merchant of Venice."

Our Earth Day celebration at dtS, themed "Embracing Earth's Bounty: A Spectacle of Sustainability," was a vibrant display of our commitment to our planet. We were honored to have the esteemed Dr. Khem Bahadur Pun, Dean, Faculty of Agricultural Sciences, AdtU to grace the occasion as the Chief Guest along with dedicated staff members.

Akash House presented a captivating assembly program that flowed seamlessly. Riyan Aditya Kashyap from Grade VI offered a prayer, followed by a powerful pledge led by Mrittika Das from Grade I. Sufiyan Qureshi from Grade VII delivered inspiring words, while Taniya Kalita (Grade VI) kept the program lively as the anchor. Laksh Agarwal from Grade VIII introduced the esteemed Chief Guest, Dr. Pun. Saatvik Bhowmik, a bright young mind from Grade III, captivated the audience with a concise speech on World Earth Day.

Akash House's impactful skit tackled the perils of plastic and deforestation, leaving a lasting impression on the audience and igniting awareness about these critical environmental issues. Saanvi Dutta Das of Grade VII delivered a heartfelt vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to all who participated.
