The Students of the Electrical Engineering and Electronics & Communication Engineering Batch (2020-2024) have demonstrated their Major Project—a quadcopter on 8th June 2024. The demonstration included the brief explanation about the specification of Drone, which was followed by the practical flying. The quadcopter is built with a flight controller, 4 BLDC motors, 4 ESCs, 4 propellers, a battery, and a mounting frame, weighing around 1500 grams. It can carry up to 2 kg, has a range of 600 meters, and can fly up to 500 meters high. It can be programmed to auto-start, set a destination, and return on pre-determined paths. The GPS ensures precise location tracking, and the drone complies with government flying norms and standards.
