HMRL MD Mr. NVS Reddy was the chief guest in an event organized by L&T Metro Rail Hyderabad at Ameerpet Metro Station on the occasion of crossing 50 crore metro passengers in the last five years.
Speaking to the media on this occasion, Mr. Reddy said that metro is the only answer to the current traffic and environmental challenges and in this regard, the government has taken steps to further expand the metro in Hyderabad. During this event, the 50th crore passenger Ms. Rajashri was congratulated by HMRL MD Mr. NVS Reddy and L&T Metro Rail MD Mr. K.V. B. Reddy, and an AC was gifted to her. Green Loyalty Club was also started on this occasion to encourage regular commuters.

Inspection of Airport Metro alignment from Nagole to Chandrayangutta

Hyderabad Airport Metro Rail Ltd (HAML) officials undertook a 14-km walk to finalise the Airport Metro alignment and likely station locations on Saturday. The walk was undertaken by HAML MD Sri. NVS Reddy from Nagole to Chandrayangutta, which is the first leg of the Airport Metro.

After the inspection, the MD made suggestions to officials, including how to overcome important challenges along the route such as location of stations, alignment obstacles due to presence of utilities near Musi River; and land acquisition for stations near many flyovers between Nagole and Chandrayangutta.
