Nostalgia, the sentimental longing for the past, can be a delightful feeling. It transports us to cherished memories and offers comfort in a rapidly changing world. However, when we constantly cling to the past, it can hinder our ability to embrace the future. By becoming linguistically trapped in nostalgia, we unintentionally limit our capacity to imagine and create an exciting future.

Would you know what is that one relationship that goes bad as we grow?

That's our relationship with our inner child. Which in turn results in all our significant relationships. Broken relationship with self leads to lack of self-love, ultimately we start resisting true love. It's not just it's not available. More fiercely we resist self more we resist true love.

A Real Goal in life can only be an state of “BEING”, and not that of achieving “Something”.

At first it may appear that achieving something can help achieve an state of Being, reality is just the reverse. It's only an state of being which set the direction and orient you towards right action for the intended outcome. Yet the Being is independent of the what is outside.

No wonder it's the need for experiencing love within that one searches for it outside, but never succeeds till they find it inside, Self-Love.

I am not saying that outside process is not important, at times the nudges from outside only triggers us to search for it within also. But unless the that state of being within is not achieved, we continue to experience those nudges, in terms of heartbreaks, betrayals, rejections, hurt, blame, guilt etc.

Being and Becoming

Loving someone and being Love are two different things

Are you “Ok”, being “Not Ok, all the time, everytime?

How many times you say, “It's Ok” even when you are not actually?

It's not about whether it's “Ok” to say or it's “not Ok” to say so. Context decide.

However, you should know that it can kill you and destroy your life, if it becomes part of your rationalisation subtly. You start subconsciously being ok about poison also, which one day kills you physically, mentally or emotionally. Many a times you might get deliberately manipulated enough so that you can't even express.

Have you ever noticed, a child never does so, but slowly adjusting to things or to save some relationships or something more important, or something considered of higher value. This quasi-process takes over and you start becoming ok with things which start killing you, at times so slowly that you don't even realise that you are on slow poison in life. Know that, your relationships are there only if you are there.

It was one such very important learning in my life, it had almost killed me, so it's important to say what is not ok. At least in some occasions.

Know that people who truly value you, they will value you anyway. If they don't take your “not being ok” positively or value it then you are living in self-denial. It does not take your relationships with people anywhere, because they don't care about your feeling and emotions anyway. Then you be ready to be used as doormat.

Acknowledging your own emotions and addressing it through healthy means is not only important for managing your relationships with self and others, but it's important for your emotional and physical well-being also.
