This is a matter of great grief for all DAV PPLers that Mr Ajay Samal struggling with life for about 25 days succumbed to Destiny and breathed his last. At this moment of unprecedented and irreparable loss, we express our deep sense of condolence and stand beside the bereaved family and pray before the Almighty that the pious soul may rest in peace at His Heavenly abode.
He joined the institution about 31 years back and has been working in the school as library Attendant. His sincere dedicated untiring service to school will be remembered and adored for long. His absence among students and staff will be felt and cannot be replaced.

SUMMER CAMP INAUGURATED IN DAV PUBLIC SCHOOL, PPL, PARADEEP
06-05-2024, PARADEEP: DAV Public School, PPL, Paradeep kicked off its 2nd edition of Summer Camp in the premises of the school today with elation keeping up the theme of Unplug, Explore & Grow. The Summer Camp was inaugurated by the Chief Guest of the Day ,Sri Palaniswamy Veluswamy, CMO, PPL, Paradeep-cum-Chairman, SMC, DAV Public School, PPL, Paradeep in the presence of the Guest of Honour, Shri Sumit Senapati, CGM(HR & IR). The Inaugural note started with the Lighting of the Lamp followed by DAV Gaan as a tradition of our DAV culture. Shri Brundaban Rout, Coordinator, DAV PPL, Paradeep presented a welcome note to the esteemed guests, teachers & students. The moment became lively by the presence of the distinguished trainers & coaches. The musical note presented by the Music Teacher mesmerized the children and guests. This camp has been segregated into two wings, they are Creative Activities & Multi-Sports Activities. The Activities under Creative section includes students exposure to Public Speaking, Music, Art & Craft and this will continue from 6 May 2024 to 9 May 2024. The special attraction in this section includes Public Speaking & Pattachitra which are introduced for the first time in the Camp, similarly the Multi-Sports Activities includes Hockey, Football, Cricket, Volleyball, Basketball, Table Tennis, Yoga/Fitness, Tennikot, Taekwondo, Sepak Takraw & many Fun Games. The Sports Activities will continue from 6 May to 19 May 2024 and specially the HPC Grassroot Hockey Summer Camp will continue from 6 May to 25 May 2024. This time we have included some new sports/games for the first time in this camp like Tennikot, Taekwondo & Sepak Takraw. The Chief Guest of the day blessed the campers and stated that ‘You can take a child out of a camp, but you cannot take the camp out of a child’. The Guest of Honour expressed his happiness with the kids for grooming their talent in a playful way in this summer camp. This moment has become memorable under the able guidance of Shri Sanjeeb Kumar Sahu, Principal, DAV Public School, PPL, Paradeep for his meticulous planning & proper ex*****on for the success of the Camp. All the activites will be conducted by the close supervision of our trainers- Mr.Jaydev Chakraborty & Ms.Sheetal Singh- Public Speaking, Mr.Saswat Kumar Bharatiya & Mr.Dibyendu Das Swarnakar- Multi-sports activities, Mr.Kamalakanta Nanda & Mr.Suryanarayan Sarangi- Art & Craft & Mr.Satyabrata Katha- Music. Also all other teachers will be there to support the campers. The programme was conducted and vote of thanks was rendered by Mr.Jaydev Chakraborty, HOD (English).
The eagerness of the parents to drop their little campers and the delight on the children’s faces was proof enough that this Summer Camp was the place to experience freedom and playfulness. With passion and zeal tacked together it was evident that the main objective of this Summer Camp 2024 here at our School was to make memories with new friends, of new skills, and of fun and frolic.

Paradeep, 28-03-2024: DAV Public School, PPL, Paradeep celebrated its Annual Day 2023-24 ‘AARAVI’ amidst great zest, enthusiasm and jubilation with a distinct spark given to the occasion to mark its glorious journey for 37 years. Shri P.L.Haranadh, IRTS, Chairman, Paradip Port Authority was the Chief Guest and Shri Sanjay Negi, DIG, Indian Coast Guard, Paradip Port was the Guest of Honour on the occasion. The function started with the note of our culture Lighting of the Lamp and DAV Gaan. Shri Jagannath Khuntia, CGM(HR), PPL, Paradeep delivered the welcome address that encompassed the entire embodiments of love while Principal Shri Sanjeeb Kumar Sahu presented the Annual Report that echoed with the glorious achievements of the students in different spheres highlighting the splendid trajectory of the school from its humble beginning to its majestic presence till date. In his address to the audience, the Chief Guest commended the steady growth of the school in all areas of academic brilliance and laid importance on the role played by the school for preparing students in Sports & other Co-curricular activities, the Guest of Honour emphasised on the important role played by school in general and DAV institutions in particular in providing quality education to students and for their upliftment in all spheres of excellence. On this occasion, the Chief Guest and other dignitaries felicitated the Scholarship Awardees of the Odia Medium, the staff members who have completed 25 years of service in school .The felicitation was also extended to the following teachers for the Best Academic Performance for the session 2022-23 for CBSE, class XII examination Sh.Brundabana Rout & Sh Saswat Kumar Bharatiya and for Class X Sh Subas Kumar Das,Smt Reena Mohapatra, Sh. Sambit Swain, Smt.Sasmita Samantray Smt,Itishree Dash,Smt. Ranjita Kar, Sh. Bajrang Sharma Smt Induprabha Dwivedi & for BSE ODISHA Smt Tatwadarshini Pattnayak ,Smt. Basanti Panda..The guest unveiled the Annual School Magazine ‘Abhilasha’ for the session 2023-24 with a musical release to mark the wonderful moment. The cadence went along to felicitate the Alumnus Major Prabhanjan Padhy by the Chief Guest & Guest of Honour for achieving the rare and historic award of becoming the first Odia army officer to receive the prestigious Gallantry Award of Sena Medal. It was followed by a colourful cultural extravaganza meticulously prepared on the theme ‘Peace’ and presented by more than 300 students from all classes. The cultural programme left the audience mesmerised with music, dance, drama tuned to ‘AARAVI’ and wonderful presentation by the students. This exclusive presentation was highly extoled by Shri Palanisamy Velusamy, CMO & Unit Head, PPL Paradeep & Chairman SMC, Dr.K.C.Satapathy, Regional Director, DAV Institutions, Odisha, Dr.Sujata Sahu, Assistant Regional Officer, DAV Institutions, Odisha Zone-C & Shri Sumit Senapati, GM (HR & IR), PPL, Paradeep. The presence of Principals of DAV Public schools of Paradeep Cluster, General Managers from different departments of PPL, Paradeep, Members of PTCC and School Managing Committee encouraged all the participants & onlookers. Mrs Rajashree Mohapatra, Coordinator rendered the vote of thanks at the end of the meeting. The celebration was a great success and this was made possible by the whole-hearted support and co-operation of all the students and staff members.

28 मार्च 2024, डीएवी पीपीएल का वार्षिक उत्सव “आरवी” बडे धूम-धाम से मनाया गया। मुख्य अतिथि श्री पी एल हरनाध, आई आर टी एस, अध्यक्ष पारादीप बंदरगाह प्राधिकरण, सम्मानित अतिथि श्री संजय नेगी, डी आई जी, भारतीय तट रक्षक,पारादीप, श्री पालानिसामी वेलुसामी, सी एम ओ और यूनिट प्रमुख,पीपीएल, श्री जगन्नाथ खूंटिया, महाप्रबंधक, पी एन ए, पीपीएल, श्री सुमित सेनापति, महाप्रबंधक, पी एन ए, आई आर, पीपीएल, पारादीप के कर कमलों से दीप प्रज्वलित कर पारंपरिक रूप से मंत्रोच्चारण से प्रारंभ हुआ। श्री खूंटिया जी ने भाषण के माध्यम से अतिथियों का स्वागत किया। विद्यालय के प्राचार्य श्री संजीब कुमार साहू जी ने पुनः सबका स्वागत कर विद्यालय की प्रगति की रिपोर्ट प्रस्तुत किया।प्राचार्य जी ने “आरवी” के महत्व पर भी दो शब्द कहा। फिर मुख्य अतिथि ने कार्यक्रम की भूरि-भूरि प्रशंसा की तथा विद्यार्थियों को शिक्षा के महत्व समझाया। पच्चीस सालों से अविरत रूप से निष्ठा और सद्भावना को अपनाए सेवा प्रदान करनेवाले शिक्षकों, कर्मचारिओ को मंच पर सम्मानित किया गया। सत्र 2023-24 के श्रेष्ठ अकादमी उत्कष्टता के लिए चुनिंदे शिक्षिकों को सम्मानित किया गया। तत्पश्चात छात्रों ने मंत्रमुग्ध करने वाले अभिनय, नृत्य, गीत से दर्शकों का मन मोह लिया। वार्षिक उत्सव के संदर्भ में डीएवी क्षेत्रीय निदेशक डॉ के सी सतपथी जी और उप क्षेत्रीय अधिकारी डॉ सुजाता साहू जी ने हार्दिक शुभकामना प्रदान किए तथा यश और सफलता बनी रहने की कामना किए। अंत में सबका साथ और सहयोग के लिए समन्वयक महोदया श्रीमती राजश्री महापात्र जी ने धन्यवाद ज्ञापन किया। ‘आरवी’ के उद्देश्य को साकार करने के लिए विश्व शांति के भावों को अपनाए विद्यालय के शिक्षक-शिक्षिकाओं के समूह शांति पाठ से वार्षिक उत्सव समापन हुआ।

DAV PPL, PARADEEP OBSERVES NATIONAL UNITY DAY & FIT INDIA SWACHHATA FREEDOM RUN 4.0
PARADEEP, 31-10-2023: DAV Public School, PPL,Paradeep today observed the National Unity Day commemorating the Birth Anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, the architect of the national integration of independent India. We observed this day as Rashtriya Ekta Divas (National Unity Day) in our school Assembly with speeches by the students, Sadbhavana Song and Pledge.
Also on this occasion, we organised ‘FIT India- Swachhata Freedom Run 4.0’ as a part of the ‘Run for Unity’ programme as guided by the CBSE, New Delhi. The event started from the school at 7:00 a.m. with the flag waved off by our Principal sir, Sri Sanjeeb Kumar Sahu. Around 150 students took part in the event along with teachers and other staff members. After reaching the school, the students joined the school assembly activities and raised slogans on the occasion.
Our Principal sir highlighted that it is an occasion to foster and reinforce our commitment to strengthen the unity, integrity and security of the nation. The sportive & integrated activities were highly praised by the PPL authorities and all onlookers. The event became meaningful with the support and coordination of all students & staff members.

DAV Public school , PPL , Paradeep, was inaugurated as the Hockey Hig h Performance Grass Root Centre for the entire Jagatsinghpur district , virtually at the Collectorate , Jagatsinghpur , by the President , Hockey India,Padamshree Dr Dillip Tirkey and The Director of Sports , Govt.of Odisha, Sri Siddharth Das in the presence of ADM, Smt Chinmayee Biswal .The other dignitaries who graced and witnessed the historical moments were DEO , Sri Niranjan Behera Inspector Physical Education Sri Bidyadhar Pradhan, District Sports Officer Smt.Biswabijayini Nayak, Hockey Grassroot center Incharge and Physical Education Teacher, DAV, PPL, Sri Saswat Kumar Bharatiya and Senior Hockey Grassroot co-ordinator Sri Sekhar Chandra Behera.
This inception of Hockey Grassroot centre wound surely help to revive the game of Hockey in the district At present more than 200 students ( Boys & Girls) are receiving the training and besides them any other students can also receive the taining at the Centre .This is an initiative of the Department of Sports , Govt of Odisha And Odisha Tata Hockey for training the players by the National level Trainers and providing different equipments related to the game of Hockey . Training sessions will be conducted both in the morning and evening every day, for both boys and girls , under the guidance of the specialised coaches.

OBSERVANCE OF INTERNATIONAL OLYMPIC DAY-2023

DAV Public School, PPL, Paradeep observed the International Olympic Day-2023 in the school premises with the true spirit of sportsmanship. The celebration was marked in the morning assembly with the presentation of the key theme of the year 2023 as ‘Let’s Move’ by our Esteemed Principal, Sri Sanjeeb Kumar Sahu and he highlighted on the aim to inspire people around the globe to make time for daily physical activity for all the students and staff members. A host of sports and games activities were conducted like Hockey, Football, Volleyball, Basketball and Table Tennis among the enthusiastic students who readily took part and exhibited their sportive talent. Around 200 students (boys and girls) took part in the different events.
The onset of the International Olympic Day-2023 sports and games events begun with the Inauguration of the day’s sports activities by our venerable sir, Sri Pranab Bhattacharjee, CMO, PPL, Paradeep in the dignified presence of Sri Sanjeeb Kumar Sahu, Principal, DAV PPL, Paradeep, Sri Jagannath Khuntia, Chief HR, PPL, Paradeep. Mr.Saswat Kumar Bharatiya, PET and Mr.Dibyendu Das Swarnakar, PET helped in proper coordination and conduct of all sports activities with their expert guidance. Sri Pranab Bhattacharjee, CMO, PPL, Paradeep extoled the steps taken by the school for celebrating this day and stated that Sport and physical activity are the low-cost, high-impact tool for healthy bodies and healthy minds and resilient communities. Sri Sanjeeb Kumar Sahu, Principal, DAV PPL, Paradeep stated that the Olympics Day has three pillars — Move, Learn, Detect and encouraged everyone to get involved in any sports activities for keeping our mind and body strong and healthy. The observation turned out successful with the tinge of sportive spirit reverberating in every young minds and with the hearty cooperation of all students and staff members.
