Delhi Public School - Paradip Refinery

A special assembly was conducted on the occasion of Eid -Ul-Fitr at our school. It was a vibrant display of cultural unity and joy. Students adorned in colorful traditional attire infused the atmosphere with vibrancy as they shared festive greetings. The significance of Eid Ul-Fitr, fostering understanding and respect for diverse traditions was done through speeches and a cultural programme. The programme left a lasting impression on everyone present.

The IOCL CISF Paradip Refinery (Fire Wings ) conducted an impactful fire safety demonstration at our school, educating the students about crucial safety measures in times of fire. They demonstrated it through engaging simulations and practical tips which empowered our students to respond confidently in emergency situations. The students were also taught to identify fire hazards(Type A, Type B, Type C and Type D) to practise evacuation drills. The session emphasized preparedness and vigilance. Students learned the importance of smoke alarms, fire extinguishers, and evacuation routes, equipping them with life-saving knowledge. Fire Wings' interactive approach made learning fun and memorable, instilling a sense of responsibility and awareness among our school community. Their visit was a vital step towards ensuring the safety and well-being of our students and staff.

Our School celebrated its Annual Foundation Day with great enthusiasm and fervour on 4th April 2024. The day marked 11 years of establishment. A special programme was organised to celebrate the rich history and achievements of the institution since its inception. The programme was attended by Mr Shambhu Chakraborty, CGM ( HR ) IOCL Paradip Refinery as chief guest and Mr Sanjay Kumar CGM (FINANCE) and member MC DPS Paradip Refinery as guest of honour. The Principal welcomed everyone on the occasion and asked to contribute to make DPS Paradip Refinery one of the best schools in India. The chief guest in his speech urged the students to set clear goals and become good human beings. The guest of honour in his speech advised the students to set goals and work hard consistently to achieve it.

After covering a long journey of *Five Great Years* now our little wonders are ready to step into a new journey 🌎 with new challenges.
The *KIDZ PARADISE DEPARTMENT OF DPS PARADIP REFINERY* celebrated its *Graduation Day 🎓* for the session 2023 - 2024 in grandeur. The DPS PR Pariwar was overwhelmed in the presence of the esteemed guests *Mrs Jitendra Mallik and Mrs Poonam Kumar* and Parents. It was indeed an unforgettable day under the able guidance of our Principal Mr.J. Bora sir and Anupa Saikia Bora ma'am. It was a day filled with fun, joy 😊 and excellence.

National Science Day Celebration at DPS Paradip Refinery

*“Farewell has a sweet sound of reluctance. Goodbye is short and final, a word with teeth sharp to bite through the string that ties past to the future."*
A Farewell programme was organized by the students of Class 11 to bid adieu to their seniors of class 12 ( Humanities, Commerce and Science) on 3rd February 2024 in the school auditorium.
The programme started with the lighting of the lamp by the Principal, teachers and students by seeking the blessings of the Almighty.
All the students of class 12 were dressed in colourful Indian Attire.
The agenda of the programme included cake cutting, dances , songs and speeches by both classes 11&12. Few teachers and the Principal also addressed the students.
The Principal in his speech advised them not to believe in others reports but to look into any matter personally. He also asked them to maintain their cool at times of stress and not to rejoice more at any success instead work more for achieving the goals.
The teachers also
blessed and wished the students a better future.
The students of class 12 in their speeches expressed their gratitude and feelings down the memory lane during their association with the school.
The programme was a grand success and culminated with a Vote of Thanks by a student of class 11.

The Annual Exhibition/ Academic Expo held on January 20, 2024, was a vibrant showcase of creativity and innovation, bringing together diverse talents and engaging visitors in a visual feast. The event, held at DPS PR, was inaugurated by Mrs Jeetendra Malik an educationist of the area. The first exhibition displayed an array of exhibits from various departments and clubs.The exhibition featured an inspiring collection of projects from students of various classes. These projects showcased the creativity and dedication of the younger generation.Visitors had the opportunity to engage in hands-on activities through interactive projects.The annual exhibition of 2024 was not just a display of talent but a celebration of human creativity and ingenuity. As attendees left the venue, they carried with them a sense of inspiration and wonder, having witnessed the boundless possibilities that arise when art, science, and innovation converge.

The 75th Republic Day was celebrated at Delhi Public School Paradip Refinery on 26 .01.2024 with great splendour.
The event began with the inspection of Houses and other contingents.Thereafter our tricolour flag was unfurled by Principal Mr. J. Bora which was followed by the national anthem .This was followed by the March past and an array of cultural events like dance performances , group songs, speech and poetry recitation filled the event with a patriotic fervor.
The events reflected a collective commitment to democracy, progress, and unity. As the day concluded, the echoes of patriotic fervor lingered, leaving a sense of pride and hope for a brighter future.

India is a country of celebration. Let it be the North, South, East or West it is the time of happiness and joy. The junior wing of DPS PR organised a special assembly on Makar Sankranti bringing all the corners together on stage. The assembly was guided and addressed by our very own Anupa Saikia Bora ma'am and Shibajee Nandi sir. It was a day thoroughly enjoyed.

Swami Vivekananda Jayanti was celebrated by DPS Paradip Refinery on 12th January 2024. A special assembly was conducted by Mahanadi house, the programme was started with house song followed by speech & Skit about the importance of the day. Overall, students enjoyed the programme well.

On 05.01.2024 Adolescent Peer Educators Leadership Program was conducted for the students of std VI to IX and XI. Two Peer Educators from std VIII presented on the topics- Leadership and Family bonding.
