We also take a lot of pride in the friendships we have formed. Earnest is not a merely transactional space. We share stories and ideas, and we care deeply about our friends. And ofcourse we are moved deeply to find that our friends care deeply about us as well. We strive to be a cafe that's all about it's patrons and our main purpose remains to give everyone who walks in the best cafe experience one could find.

Allow us to introduce you to our assortment of in-house cookies. These delicious accompaniments to your coffee that you can easily spot at the counter are made entirely at Earnest from scratch. And of course like everything else they are made using the best ingredients possible!

A cafe isn't a cafe without its cookies and biscotties. And we like to take a lot of pride in what we have to offer. Made using 100% whole butter, best chocolate on the market, and other in house ingredients, our cookies are not only delicious and indulgent, they are also safe and fresh!

Friends of Earnest who familiar with Sarah Bakewell's book At The Existentialist Café have often referred to Earnest as an Existentialist cafe.

The truth is that Earnest really is modeled around the cafe culture of Paris in the early 20th century, where some of the most brilliant and influential minds of the time came together. The subject of this wonderful book is precisely how figures like Simone de Beauvoir, Jean Paul Sartre and Albert Camus spent their days at these cafes and how these cafes became the birthplaces of some of the most exciting and influential thought of the 20th century.

The Earnest library doesn't shy away from housing some of the most complex works of literature and philosophy. But more importantly the cafe itself is designed for people to spend time reading, writing, and talking for long hours. It's a place that embraces arts in all its forms and encourages discussions around it. And the subject of this book has a significant role to play in why we who we are!

One and half year since we opened and it's been an exciting journey so far! We've cherished all the love and loyalty we have recieved from our friends and patrons. We have learnt and grown, and we continue to do so. But what we feel immensely proud of is that we remain connected to the soil that nourishes us.

We are, above everything else, of this city. And we are grateful for every strand of connection that has formed between Earnest and Jaipur. Our ambition is to become part of the culinary and cultural history of this beautiful city. But for now we are working towards bringing together communities, making our space culturally active, forming collaborations, and most importantly curating and refining our menu.

We look forward to more exciting times at Earnest and hope that you would become part of our journey as we burrow our way to a permanent place in the story of Jaipur.

Thursday Jam at Earnest Backyard has become a dearly loved and eagerly anticipated feature of our cafe. It's supported by the fact that the people who make it possible are all musicians. And Earnest itself is known for the passion with which it treats music. There is a free spirit behind the Jams that happen at our backyard which does not limit the musicians to a performance or genre, but makes it a creative exercise by letting the musicians explore whatever they find interesting. They do it in the presence of appreciative and supportive audience.

This open and participatory event has become something to look forward to every week. And we've had some very talented people joining our already very talented group of regular participants. We hope to keep recieving the love and support we've received so far from both the audience and the music community around this effort of ours. In all earnestness, this excercise is meant and designed to build a culture of open and independent music at the cafe and in effect the beautifull city of Jaipur.

We are very excited to bring you Backyard Art Project's first iteration! Making good use of the beautiful Earnest Backyard, this is an event designed to expand the way in which art is experienced. We are bringing together visual arts, literature, music, craft, printing and tattooing together under one roof!

Celebrating Christmas the classic way. Keeping it simple and elegant with this delicious Rum Cake. This soft cake soaked in rum is perfect not only as a Christmas dessert but also an over all winter dessert. We'll be making it till New Years. So come and grab a piece! 😀🌲🌟☃️🎅

We want what we serve to our guests to be special. We also pride ourselves in our healthy and organic approach to food. Our salads are a perfect example of our sincerity towards the health of our customers. But we also make sure that it never gets boring. Our collection includes Sci-Fi, Classics, Modern Classics, Photography, Fine Arts, Aesthetics, Graphic Novels, Latin American Literature, Hindi Literature, and Non-Fiction. We like to be a little inventive and a little playful with how we design our menu. The variety of Toasts we serve is an example of that. Perfectly portioned as a snack for any time of the day, with a variety of toppings we put together tastefully, our toasts are quite popular among our regulars.

Thursday Jams are now going to be a regular occurance at Earnest. All you have to do to attend or participate is to show up! It's absolutely free for everyone and it's a blast! But most importantly it's an excellent opportunity to meet some of Jaipur's most talented people!

Here's another post dedicated to a friend of Earnest! Anudita or as everyone else might know her has not been our loyal customer since the beginning but also has seen our strengths ove the course of our evolution! As her Instagram handle suggests and as anyone who follows her might know very well, Anudita is very particular and passionate about fitness...just as much as she is about food! And we take.pride in the fact that she has come to recognise our efforts in providing the best and healthiest food to our patrons!

It's often difficult for us to communicate the hard work that goes into making sure that no corners are cut in maintaining quality at Earnest. That we would rather reduce our margins than cheat our customers by indulging in practices that have dangerously become acceptable in the market. Every one has their taste and we try to provide for as many as possible, but one thing we maintain throughout our menu and kitchen practices is the ethic of safe and healthy food! And Anudita is an absolute darling of an example of someone who recognises this! And we dearly thank her for for that and telling our story whenever she has the chance!

A week into our new menu and some of the favourites are already becoming obvious popular choices! We're happy for all the love we recieve from our patrons and wish to keep doing better and better for it. We would love to know what you think about our menu and would love to hear suggestions for future improvements and additions. For now we will bask in the praises we are recieving for our selection of unique dips and sauces, our pizzas, meal bowls...and especially the Crepe Suzette!

We began this month with a grand gesture! Our new food menu release (third edition) brings in a lot of things our patrons have been asking for, and a few things that we wanted everyone to taste! We have brought together a mix of various cousins in our bowls as a way to represent what our approach to food it. Our menu is entirely made up of things from all over the world, whether it's our main course dishes or the dips and sauces. We do not shy away from exploring uncharted territories, and so far we're confident that the Earnest food menu is perhaps the most unique cafe food menu in the city.

We'd like you to explore this menu with us, help us improve through feedback. Let us know your preferences so that we can incorporate those in our future iterations. Oh! And have we said it already? Our Crepe Suzette is to die for 😉

One of the most exciting part of our journey has been discovering new foods, new ingredients, new ways of using ingredients...and it all comes together in an exciting medley of a unique variety of food we offer at Earnest. But we cannot stress enough how important using fresh and high quality ingredients is to achieve good taste. We are launching a new menu with revisions and additions this Sunday. And we are excited to see your reaction to what we have come up with this time!
