Visit us to witness an exquisite collection of miniature paintings of Rajasthan.

About the art: Miniature art is an intense labour of love illustrated on a range of materials like palm leaves, paper, wood, marble, ivory panels and cloth. Organic and natural minerals like stone dust, real gold and silver dusts are used to create the exquisite colours. Even the paper used is special; polished with stone to render a smooth non porous surface. Tracing its origins back to the 7th century in India, the finer details in this extremely nuanced art form are painted with brushes made of squirrel hair. Like many other traditional art forms of India, miniature painting too, is slowly dying, and in need of revival.
