Greetings from Dr. B R Ambedkar NIT Jalandhar!!
As we stand on the threshold of a new year, it is with great pride and warmth that we extend our heartfelt wishes to you, our esteemed alumni of NIT Jalandhar.

The alumni meet held at NIT JALANDHAR on December 16, 2023, was a poignant occasion that evoked a strong sense of nostalgia among the attendees. This annual gathering, cherished by both former and current members of the NITJ community, serves a dual purpose. On one hand, it rekindles connections among alumni, allowing them to celebrate shared successes and achievements and also it provides a valuable platform for current students to engage with distinguished alumni, gaining insights across diverse professional fields.
The event became a momentous occasion as alumni from various walks of life credited their accomplishments, whether in business, entrepreneurship, or administration, to the guidance they received from the professors during their time at NITJ. The impact of these mentors was acknowledged and appreciated, creating a deep sense of gratitude among the alumni.
The significance of each department was highlighted through the honoring of outstanding alumni, each of whom received recognition for their contributions. In their heartfelt acceptance speeches, these individuals expressed sincere thanks to the institute for playing a pivotal role in shaping their journeys.
Beyond recognition, the meet also became a platform for giving back. Mr. Rohit Khanna, a 1994 passout, sponsored scholarships for 20 deserving students from various departments. This gesture not only supports the academic pursuits of current students but also exemplifies the spirit of alumni support.
A notable aspect of the event was the gathering of 85 alumni, spanning regions across the country and even reaching beyond borders. This diverse group pledged to contribute to the institute's legacy by establishing a special, well-furnished room for the Alumni House.

NIT Jalandhar ranked 46th position in engineering category of India ranking (NIRF)-2023

"India Ranking (NIRF)-2023" has been announced on 05 June, 2023 by Ministry of Education. It is a proud moment for the stake holders of Dr. B R Ambedkar National Institute of Technology Jalandhar (NIT J) that the institute has been ranked 46th position in “Engineering ranking” and 72nd in “Overall ranking” amongst top institutions/universities of the country. NITJ has secured 10th position amongst all "NITs" and 2nd position amongst NITs in northern region of our country. NIT Jalandhar consistently improved in all fields of academia and secured its position in top-50 engineering institutions of the country.

In another ranking released on the same day, i.e., ARIIA (Atal Ranking of Institutions on Innovation Achievements) ranking, NIT Jalandhar has been placed in a ranking band of 11-50, which is another remarkable achievement for the institute.

Prof. Binod Kumar Kanaujia, Director of the institute briefed about the particular developments that have been taken place at NIT Jalandhar and consequently brought this remarkable achievement to the institute such as induction of faculty from top ranked institutions/universities that increased improve faculty to student ratio, and raised infrastructure and research facilities that increased quality research publications, citations, and external sponsorship. Director, Prof. Binod Kumar Kanaujia underlines on the remarkable rise in the research outcomes of the institute this year. Director stresses that this is just a beginning and every stakeholder of NIT J needs to aspire for better rank every year for which they have to keep the good work going on.

Director, Prof. Binod Kumar Kanaujia acknowledges and appreciates the continuous efforts of learned faculty members, staff, students, and alumni for this year's ranking in Indian ranking (NIRF)-2023. Prof. Binod Kumar Kanaujia thanks to Shri Dharmendra Pradhan Hon'ble Minister of Education for his continuous support and Mr. Subhash Chandra Ralhan, Hon'ble chairman BOG for his continuous guidance.
