*Crescent Welfare Trust Extends Support to 6-Year-Old Battling Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy*

Crescent Welfare Trust (CWT) recently stepped forward to aid Sheikh Mohd Rizwan, a 6-year-old boy diagnosed with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy (DMD), hailing from Loyal Bella Tehsil Mandi Ponch. Rizwan, son of Mohd Bashir, is currently undergoing treatment at PGI Chandigarh, battling the progressive muscle degeneration disease. Coming from a Below Poverty Line (BPL) family, the financial burden of Rizwan's treatment added to their challenges.

Upon receiving written permission from the District Magistrate of Poonch, allowing for the acceptance of donations for Rizwan's medical expenses after thorough verification, Rizwan's father sought assistance from CWT. Responding promptly to the family's plight, CWT extended financial aid amounting to ₹5000.

CWT's intervention aims to alleviate the financial strain on Rizwan's family, enabling them to focus on his treatment and well-being without worrying about the mounting medical expenses. Additionally, CWT strives to raise awareness about DMD and support families facing similar challenges in accessing adequate healthcare and resources.

The Crescent Welfare Trust provided assistance to a woman whose husband had ventured to Punjab for labor six months ago from Kewal Budhal, where he was the sole provider for their family. However, communication ceased after a month, leaving Zareeda Begum to resort to begging to support her three daughters and two sons, all under the age of 10. Responding to their plight, CWT generously donated Rs 5000 during the holy month of Ramadan. Waqar Lone, the settlor of CWT Budhal, appealed to the public to assist Zareeda Begum, whose account number is 0659040100006939 with IFSC - JAKA0BUDRAJ. Under the supervision of senior member Rayaz Baba, CWT ensured all legal formalities were meticulously handled to provide aid to Zareeda Begum.

Additionally, they aided Shokit Ali, a 17-month-old child who sustained injuries after falling from his home's roof, with Rs 10,000/-. Shokit's father is also suffering from various illnesses, and there is no breadwinner in the family.
