RBSK/DEIC team conducted free screening camp of cleft lip and palate deformities in collaborations with NGO Smile Train at District Hospital Reasi under the chairmanship of Dr Ashok Kumar, District Health Officer Reasi, (I/c CMO Reasi) in presence of Medical Superintendent district hospital Reasi, Dr. Rajinder Kumar.

JAMMU: Smile Train, an international NGO, in partnership with Bee Enn General Hospital, Jammu has provided over 350 free cleft lip and palate surgeries to the underprivileged children born with this birth defect.
To celebrate this achievement and to create more awareness about cleft lip and palate, a Cleft Week was organised from 3rd to 9th April 2017.
Speaking at an event organised by the hospital, Dr. Sanjana Sikri, Manager Programmes Smile Train commended the role of BeeEnn General Hospital and shared the Smile Train plan to provide free cleft lip surgery to around more than 50,000 patients throughout India.
The entire medical team that includes Dr Suhael Zahur, Plastic Surgeon and Project Director, Smile Train at Bee Enn General Hospital, Dr Anuradha Bali Pediatric Anesthetist and Dr Vikas Mahajan Pediatrician and Neonatologist are very proud of their achievement.
Dr Suhael said “We meet many families every day who are not aware about cleft and consider it as God’s curse. This year, our team will undertake more awareness programmes so that people can be told that cleft is an easily correctible medical deformity. We are humbled by the opportunity to change children’s lives and bring a smile to not only the children, but the whole family!”
Speaking about the partnership with Smile Train, Dr Suhael said, “Smile Train has empowered us to apply our skills to help children and give back to the society. Correction of clefts is one of the most satisfying surgical experiences for a plastic surgeon.”
On the occasion Managing Trustee informed that Bee Enn Charitable Trust is committed to provide free services of cleft lip and palate to the patients of Jammu and Kashmir.

BEE ENN GENERAL HOSPITAL स्माइल ट्रेन (चिल्ड्रन चैरिटी) के सहयोग से कटे होंठ और तालू वाले बच्चों का मुफ्त इलाज कर रहा है।

दुनिया भर में लाखों बच्चे बिना मरम्मत के फांक से पीड़ित हैं। अधिकांश अलगाव और दर्द खा या बोल नहीं सकते।

भारत में *३००००* से अधिक बच्चे इस तरह पैदा होते हैं और उनमें से ५०% से अधिक बच्चे अनुपचारित रहते हैं क्योंकि चेहरे की विकृति के साथ-साथ खराब आर्थिक स्थिति के लिए उपलब्ध सुधारात्मक सर्जरी के बारे में जागरूकता की कमी है।

स्माइल ट्रेन के साथ हमारी साझेदारी सुलभ और गुणवत्तापूर्ण स्वास्थ्य सेवा प्रदान करने की प्रतिबद्धता की दिशा में एक और कदम है। स्माइल ट्रेन के सहयोग से, हम जरूरतमंद रोगियों (बच्चों) को कटे होंठ और तालू के साथ मुफ्त सर्जरी की पेशकश करते हैं।

इस परियोजना के तहत अब तक लगभग *500* रोगियों का ऑपरेशन किया जा चुका है। बच्चों के लिए सर्जरी, रहने, दवाई, दूध और खाने का खर्चा प्रायोजित है और मरीजों और उनके परिवारों को एक रुपया भी खर्च करने की जरूरत नहीं है।

बीई एन जनरल अस्पताल जम्मू शहर का एकमात्र अस्पताल है जो फांक रोगियों (बच्चों) के लिए यह परोपकारी कार्य कर रहा है।
