DODA POLICE REGISTERED FIR AGAINST DRIVER, SEIZED (05) VEHICLES AND CHALLANED (87) VEHICLES FOR TRAFFIC VIOLATIONS.

Continuing its drive against the traffic violators, Doda Police has registered FIR against Driver, seized (05) vehicles and challaned (87) vehicles in violations of traffic laws.
Giving details, Doda Police said that an FIR No. 252/2023 under relevant section was registered in Police Station Doda against driver Sunit Singh resident of Bibrota Kashtigarh for carrying Passengers beyond the seating capacity. The driver was arrested and vehicle was seized. Besides registration of FIR,(05) vehicles were seized and (87) vehicles were challaned for violating traffic laws.
The traffic violators are warned by Police to shun the practice of overloading and other traffic violations,else they will face strict action which will lead to suspension of driving licence vehicle documents alongside registration of FIRs.
Doda Police seeks cooperation of General Public and appeals to provide information/inputs,if any driver especially drivers of Passanger vehicles are noticed carrying overload or drive rashly and negligently, stringent action will be taken by Police. Information can be shared by anyone through PCR Doda telephone number 01996-233530 or call/ WhatsApp the message through PCR mobile numbers 7298923100, 94693 65174, also dial 100 and ERSS 112. The identity of the informer will be kept secret and stringent action will be taken by Police against the traffic violators.

Jammu, November, 18th, 2023:- Continuing with his visits to different districts to accesses the security, crime, law & order situations, Inspector General of Police, Jammu Zone, Shri Anand Jain, IPS today visited Hqrs Delta Force Dharmkund Batote, met the core Commander, GOC and other Army Officers discussed the security scenario of the area and highway security measures .While on way to Doda visited the accident site at Assar to take stock of the situation of the area. Chaired an officers meeting at District Police Lines Doda to review the security Crime situation in the district, made an interaction with civil society member besides inquired about the condition of the injured admitted in GMC Doda Hospital.
1. The IGP Jammu Shri Anand Jain,IPS who was on a day long visit to Doda accompanied by DIG DKR,Dr. Sunil Gupta,IPS first in the morning visited Delta Force Headquarters at Dharmund where he discussed the security scenario of the area and highway security measures. The GOC briefed the IGP regarding the functions of the counter terrorism grid in Doda, Kishtwar and in Ramban areas.
2. While on the way to Doda District first had visited the accident site at Assar and conducted thorough assessment to prevent such mishaps in the future. He was received there by SP Doda Shri Abdul Qayoom-JKPS.
3. Afterwards, the IGP Jammu visited Doda where he was presented a ceremonial guard of honour.
4. Immediately after his arrival at Doda, IGP chaired an officers' meeting which was attended by SSP Doda and all GOs/SHOs to review the security, law/order and crime in the district. While addressing the meeting the IGP directed the officers to provide all necessary support and help to the affected families of accident cases.
5. The IGP directed the officers to intensify the war against drug peddlers and root out the menace from the society saying that it is the matter of concern as youth are getting involved in the menace. He stressed upon officers to take all the necessary and required measures to check drug abuse in society and called for stern action against those involved in drug trafficking.
6. IGP Jammu Zone also instructed all the supervisory officers to improve the quality of investigation so that conviction rate could be improved especially in cases of heinous nature.
7. The IGP stressed for enhanced cooperation between Police and other security forces on ground to foil the ill intentions of terrorists and their masters. The senior officers of the district were asked to personally address the public meetings and educate the people on fighting the menace of terrorism, drug abuse and other social evils prevailing in the society.
8. SSP Doda Shri Abdul Qayoom-JKPS also made a powerpoint presentation of district profile and the working of District Police before the IGP Jammu during the meeting.
9. Meanwhile, IGP Jammu Zone had an interaction with Civil society members of Doda . During the meeting IGP Jammu Shri Anand Jain,IPS urged upon the participants to co-operate with and strengthen the hands of Police so that the social crime, i.e menace of Drugs etc. are eradicated from the society . The participants were assured that District Police Doda is trying its best to curb the crime from the society and provide transparent and accountable police to the society. He asked for more cooperation from public so that a crime free atmosphere is build up in the area. Moreover they were asked to maintain peace and communal harmony in the area.
10. Later, IGP Jammu Shri Anand Jain,IPS visited Government Medical College Hospital Doda and inquired about the condition of those injured in the accident at Assar on the day after yesterday.
11. The IGP Jammu also inaugurated the new Martyrs Memorial constructed at DPL Doda for the venerable police martyrs. While paying homage to the martyrs, he said we are indebted to the martyrs, it is because of the sacrifices of martyrs that we are able to live in a peaceful atmosphere.

_ADDC finalises action plan for the rollout of Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra in Doda_

The Additional District Development Commissioner (ADDC) of Doda, Pran Singh, serving as the Nodal Officer for Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra in District Doda, orchestrated the mobilization of the district administration for the upcoming Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra scheduled from November 15 to January 26, 2024. A workshop, attended by district officers, sectorial officers, and block development officers across the district, along with virtual participation from outstation block development officers and executive officers of municipal councils, was held in the Conference Hall of DC office complex, aiming to raise awareness and strive for the saturation of centrally sponsored schemes.

During the meeting, the ADDC emphasized the importance of flagship schemes, directing all district officers to create videos regarding government-sponsored schemes within the stipulated time. The Yatra, designed to reaffirm a commitment to a developed India by 2047, focuses on reaching vulnerable populations to maximize the impact of various centrally sponsored schemes. The government is providing 107 mobile Information, Education, and Communication (IEC) vans to cover 4291 Panchayats of Jammu and Kashmir in 20 days. The ADDC stressed the need for effective projection of schemes and urged officers to stay informed about the latest data on beneficiaries and scheme coverage.

As part of the Yatra, a Digital Van will traverse panchayats and municipal wards, delivering the Prime Minister's message and hosting promotional events. The district administration has created a comprehensive schedule, and the Nodal Officers have been assigned specific duties for a smooth and successful Yatra. The ADDC directed district officers, virtually connected block development officers and principals, to follow the prescribed dates and schedules for making videos on important topics of sponsored schemes. The Yatra will cover five clusters, and major functions will take place in Doda and Bhaderwah, showcasing the success stories of various departments.

The ADDC informed that video submissions for success stories are expected by November 22. The event scheduled at Doda shall feature stalls from various departments in the community hall to raise awareness about government-sponsored schemes. Five clusters will celebrate the event, covering almost all the panchayats.

The meeting had attendance from key stakeholders, including ACD Doda, ACP Doda, CPO Doda, district officers, principals of different degree colleges, representatives of concerned departments and virtually attended by the BDOs and principals of some degrees colleges

The prestigious Para Basic Course, an intensive training regimen, accommodates a select group of 40 young men and 40 women cadets annually, encompassing a grueling duration of 2 b4 days. This training demands a pinnacle of physical prowess, requiring candidates to achieve formidable benchmarks such as running 1 km within 4 minutes, performing 5–6 pull-ups, 22 push-ups, and 36 squats—a testament to the requisite stamina and fortitude to become a paratrooper.

The journey to becoming a paratrooper is arduous, commencing approximately 4 months prior to the camp. Prospective candidates undergo a rigorous selection process, involving interviews at the unit, group, and directorate levels, ensuring only the most deserving and fortunate individuals are bestowed the opportunity to partake in the Para Basic Course.

Cadet Simran Kumari's participation not only reflects her personal commitment but also serves as an inspiration to aspiring youth, showcasing the possibilities achievable through unwavering determination and unwavering dedication to the pursuit of excellence.

*Extensive traffic checking conducted by the authorities in Doda*

Doda, November 17: Today, officials from various departments in Doda laid special nakas snd conducted traffic checking at different locations along the National Highway and sensitive areas. Naib Tehsildar Khellani, along with the In-Charge Police Post Khellani, established a checkpoint towards Malhori. During the inspection, four vehicles were fined for overloading passengers. Additionally, one bus was seized under Section 207 of the Motor Vehicles Act.

Furthermore, SDM Thathri, along with magistrates and police personnel, were involved in checking vehicles for compliance with traffic regulations. Similarly, Tehsildar Kahara, along with Naib Tehsildar and the Police Post In-Charge of Kahara, laid down another traffic checkpoint to address traffic rules violations.

The Motor Vehicles Department (MVD) in Doda, under the supervision of ARTO Doda Rajesh Gupta, also actively participated in conducting checkpoints at sensitive areas. The inspection team from MVD Doda led by the inspector of MVD department Doda conducted the checking operation on national highways regarding the traffic violation The inspection primarily focused on verifying vehicle licenses, insurance, helmets, and overloading issues.

In addition to the enforcement actions taken during these checkpoints, it's important to note that such initiatives play a crucial role in raising awareness about road safety among motorists and the community. By regularly conducting these inspections and penalties, authorities aim to not only uphold traffic regulations but also educate and encourage responsible driving practices, ultimately striving for safer roads and reduced traffic incidents within the Doda region.

These efforts demonstrate a collective commitment among various authorities to ensure road safety and enforce traffic rules in the region.

DODA POLICE REGISTERED (05) FIRs AGAINST DRIVERS, SEIZED 13 VEHICLES AND CHALLANED 132 VEHICLES FOR TRAFFIC VIOLATIONS

Going tough against the traffic violators,Doda Police has launched special drive and intensified checking against traffic violators on all routes throughout the District.
Giving details, Doda Police said that (03) FIRs under relevant sections were registered in Police Station Doda against traffic violators in which (1) FIR No. 247/2023 was registered against Bus driver namely Umar Muneeb resident of Changa Gandoh for overloading passengers (2) FIR No. 248/2023 was registered against Mini Bus driver namely Kailash Chander resident of Dessa for overloading passengers and (3)FIR No. 249/2023 was registered against Tempo Driver namely Manjeet Kumar resident of Kulhand Doda for overloading passengers. All the drivers were arrested and vehicles were also seized.
Similarly, FIR No. 100/2023 was registered in Police Station Thathri against Matador driver namely Zahoor Ahmed resident of Gharsoo Doda for overloading of passengers and FIR No. 97/2023 was registered in Police Station Gandoh against TATA SUMO driver Mohd Yaqoob resident of kilhotran Gandoh for overloading passengers beyond the seating capacity. In both FIRs, besides arrest of drivers vehicles were seized. Besides this 13 vehicles were seized and 132 vehicles were challaned for violating traffic laws.
Doda Police has warned the traffic violators to shun the practice of overloading and other traffic violations which is not only risky for them but it also endanger the life of other people and tragic accidents takes place like unfortunate accident recently happened at Trungal Assar. Doda Police has also appealed the general public to co-operate Police and provide information/inputs,if any driver especially drivers of Passanger vehicles are noticed carrying overload or driving rashly and negligently, stringent action will be taken by Police. 15 Kanals of orchard land illegally occupied by former minister Hasseb Drabu retrieved in Shopian: officials

Srinagar, Jan 28: The Administration on Saturday informed that illegally occupied land measuring hundreds of kanals was retrieved in south Kashmir’s Shopian district.

An official told that around 100’s of Kanals of illegally occupied land was retrieved in Shopian district by teams of revenue officials.

He said that among the 100s of kanals of illegally occupied land freed today, the Shopian administration retrieved 15 Kanals of illegally occupied high value orchard land from former Finance Minister Haseeb Drabu. The outer wall of the orchard was demolished by the revenue officials, he said.

Governments’ zero-tolerance policy ensures land is used for public benefit, he said, adding that the drive against illegal encroachment will be continued. (KDC)
