Arthritis is one of the biggest health crises facing the world. Today with nearly each and everyone living with this disease. Every year (12th of October World Arthritis Day) is celebrated as raising awareness regarding Arthritis, “Rajiv Gandhi College of Nursing Chak Bhalwal Jammu” conducted an event on Arthritis day ” with the Theme “UNDERSTANDING ARTHRITIS :LIVING WITH AN RMD AT ALL STAGES OF LIFE” on 12th October 2023 at their campus, Chak Bhalwal Jammu. All the students of college were present along with faculty Members.
Rajiv Gandhi College of Nursing, Chak Bhalwal Jammu Participated in International Webinar on 12th October.2023 “World Sight Day” organized by St. Andrews college of Nursing, Pune with the collaboration with know the glow USA, Manila central university college of Optometry Philippines & college of Health Sciences American University of Armenia. Our Nursing students participate in this event. Eminent speakers delivered their scientific session on chronological advancements in vision screening by Dr. Elizabeth B. Valconcha (President, IPAO National), Role of Nurse in Eye Health discussed by Dr. Sundari Apte, Principal, St. Andrews college of Nursing, Pune & latest treatment modalities in Eye Health explained by Dr. Adena Alahverdian, University of Armenia. At the end of the session students filled Post- Test form Response and got e-certificates.

Rajiv Gandhi College of Nursing, Chak Bhalwal Jammu conducted seminar on World Mental Health Day with the Theme “Mental Health Is A Universal Human Right” on 10th.October.2023 at their campus, Chak Bhalwal Jammu. All the students of college were present along with faculty members and also organize an awareness program at Sub District Hospital Chak Bhalwal, Jammu.
The GNM students of Our college conducted and participated in program related to swach bharat abhyan on the eve of gandhi jyanti at Govt. Hospital Sarwal Jammu and got support from faculty of sarwal hospital as well as supritendent and other memeber also joined the program.
Rajiv Gandhi College of Nursing Chak Bhalwal Jammu had organised an awareness program in Sarwal Hospital Jammu on 26th of September ,2023 regarding rabies as it is rabies week going on and 28 September is observed as world rabies day . Our students had done several activities like poster making and presented their posters and also our students shared their views regarding the topic. The program was covered by media channels as well.
To honour and glorify the 77th year of Independence Rajiv Gandhi College of Nursing, Jammu (J&K) celebrated this event with great patriotic Zeal and gaiety,(Managing Director, RGCN) Mr. Abhimanyu Katoch along with Mrs. Anjana Bavouria (Director, RGCN ) & Prof Rafiqa Bashir (Principal, RGCN) unfurled the Tri color along with students and staff which was followed by the National Anthem. Mr. Abhimanyu Katoch (MD RGCN) who was the chief guest threw light on activating Indian spirit, motivated students to work for the betterment of the country and contribute maximum to the society.
Mrs. Anjana Bavouria (Director, RGCN) who was the Guest of Honour laid stress on strengthening our cultural ethos, and focused on national integrity and strength others who spoke included Prof. Rafiqa Bashir, who expressed great enthusiasm at the event, stating, "Independence Day holds immense significance in our nation's history. At RGCN, Jammu, we believe in nurturing not just academic excellence, but also a strong sense of citizenship. Our Independence Day celebration aims to educate and inspire our students to value their freedom and contribute positively to their communities. The students presented a captivating cultural bonanza focused on patriotism which included number of heart throbbing melodious patriotic dances, songs, poetries, speeches, and skits which heightened the ambience and added resplendent rhythm to the show, symbolizing our country's rich and unique cultural diversities. poster making, slogan writing, sketches were also taken up as a part of the event celebrations.
The students took pride in glorifying and celebrating the spirit of unity, also resorted to sloganeering in praise of our great Nation. The campus was filled with the aura of sheer patriotism.
