Outlook Indian Responsible Tourism Awards 2022
Greetings to all!
We hope this email finds you very well.
If you have been following our social handles, then you will know that it's that time of the year again! Yes, we have just launched the Indian Responsible Tourism Awards (IRTA) 2022!
Now in its sixth year, the Indian Responsible Tourism Awards is proud to be the flagbearer of travel that is gentle on the earth and invested in the growth and happiness of the local communities across India. And we believe our role — of celebrating and supporting path-breakers and leaders surmounting all odds — remains as important as ever. In IRTA 2021-2022, we want to celebrate the individuals and organisations who are leading the restart of tourism by re-imagining their business, infusing technology and innovation as best practices and weaving it all together under the umbrella of sustainability. Here's a glimpse of our 6 categories this year.
Please refer to the .zip files HERE to know more about the categories this year, or check out our social media handles! You can nominate yourself or anyone who deserves to win, and spread the word on our behalf! Once we receive your nomination, we will send you or your nominee a detailed questionnaire for the category you have specified in your application.
The closing date for IRTA is 31st October 2021, and we hope to receive your initial applications and completed questionnaires by then.
We know the immense fortitude you have displayed over the last two years and the tremendous amount of work you have put in. So let us celebrate your commitment, spirit and resilience once again.
Additionally, while we also provide organisations with the opportunity to feature their property on our website (fill this FORM), we also want to hear your stories and what you have been doing for the communities you serve. Do send us links from your social media posts and we shall repost and amplify your stories from our social handles.
All the best!
Outlook Responsible Tourism Team
For about six years now, the Outlook Responsible Tourism Initiative has been rallying to protect, preserve and celebrate India’s heritage — be it a monument or an art form, an endangered bird or a musical tradition, out in the countryside or in our own backyard. We do it by celebrating and supporting people- and planet-friendly travel companies, hotels and homestays. We do it by telling travellers about the wonderful journeys they can take. We do it by mainstreaming thoughtful,
immersive travel! Come along with us.

YOUR DONATION WILL HELP KALAMANDIR CCAF SUPPORT THE MARGINALISED ARTISANS OF RURAL JHARKHAND
visit: www.kala-mandir.org
Kalamandir is a Jamshedpur based organisation working towards the development of livelihood opportunities for traditional artisans, artists, musicians & performers, and the preservation of the cultural heritage of Jharkhand.
Corona and Lockdown has created unprecedented unemployment, uncertainty and drastic change of socoi economic conditions in India and globally.
Our primary stakeholders, the traditional artisans, artists, musicians and performers of the following regions of Jharkhand: Potka, Dumaria, Dhalbhumgarh, Ghatshila, Patamda, Bahragora, Seraikela-Kharsawan - a total of 500 families are not considered at a macro level by Government. Therefore, we need to immediately provide relief to these families for their survival and that of our traditional arts and crafts.
A week's ration for a family of 5-6 persons amounts to Rs. 800+Rs 200 cash for fuel and exigencies. Total: Rs. 1000.
We require Rs.1000×500= Rs. 500000 per week to support these 500 families.
I, on behalf of Kalamandir, request you to donate generously through NEFT, cheque or cash ( with your complete details) to support this endeavour. Our Account details are:
