Grateful to host esteemed alumni, Mr. PC Mehra & Mr. Giri, from the class of '71 at our Delhi campus. The Alumni Committee facilitated an enriching interaction on Feb 24th, 2024, offering students valuable insights into their college journey.

Mr. Bhanu Pratap Sharma was honoured with the prestigious Distinguished Alumni - Lifetime Achievement - Award at the Homecoming on 9th Dec,'23.

Mr. Bhanu Pratap Sharma, an Indian Administrative Service veteran since 1981, dedicated 36 years to Bihar and the Central Government, ultimately retiring as Secretary, Department of Personnel & Training in June 2017. Presently, he serves as the Chairman of Recruitment & Assessment Centre DRDO and the Financial Services Institutions Bureau. With expertise in Personnel & Administrative Reforms, Health & Family Welfare, and Finance, Sharma has been pivotal in advising on crucial policy matters, instigating legislative changes, and chairing committees to advance governance.

We congratulate him and thank him for his contributions!

Ms. Gurveen Singh was honoured with the prestigious Distinguished Alumni - Lifetime Achievement - Award at the Homecoming on 9th Dec,'23.

Ms. Gurveen Singh, a seasoned Human Capital leader, culminated her 40-year career as the CHRO at Reckitt Benckiser. Renowned for transformative leadership in consumer products, hospitality, and manufacturing, she excels in managing mergers, nurturing corporate culture, and elevating HR's strategic role. A staunch advocate for Diversity and Inclusion, she now serves as an Independent Director and NRC Chair, advising companies and mentoring C-suite leaders

We congratulate her and thank her for her contributions!

The Runathon - which will have 7 more city editions - will be supporting the cause of educating underprivileged children. The run saw over 1800 people in the inaugural Bangalore edition. The upcoming runs will be in: Chennai (18th Feb), Jamshedpur (25th Feb), Kolkata (25th Feb), Mumbai (3rd March), Pune (10th March, Hyderabad (10th March) and Delhi (TBA).

Mr. CVL Srinivas was honoured with the prestigious Distinguished Alumni Award at the Homecoming on 9th Dec,'23

CVL Srinivas is the Country Manager of WPP in India since 2018. He has a 30-year tenure in the advertising and media industry. He was instrumental in launching Maxus for WPP in 2004 and later led GroupM South Asia as CEO. Mr. Srinivas has served on the boards of major industry bodies, including AAAI and BARC, and actively promotes diversity and inclusion within WPP. His achievements have earned him accolades such as E4M's Most Influential Person in Media & Marketing in India, the Porter Prize for Business Transformation, and the AFAA Changemakers for Good – Industry Leader Award.

Mr. Karthik Ganesan was honoured with the prestigious Distinguished Alumni Award at the Homecoming on 9th Dec,'23

Karthik Ganesan is a Partner at Bain & Company. He works with consumer, retail, and Private Equity investor businesses advising them on full potential transformation, growth strategy, digital transformation, brand and marketing strategy, and data driven growth. He leads the marketing capability for the Asia-Pacific Consumer products practice and is a member of the strategy and customer practices at the firm. Prior to Bain, he has spent 7 years at P&G across various marketing and sales roles.

Mr. Surojit Shome was honoured with the prestigious Distinguished Alumni Award at the Homecoming on 9th Dec,'23

Surojit Shome is the CEO for DBS Bank India since April 2015 and is a member of the Group Management Committee of DBS Group, Singapore. He has over 37 years of banking experience across corporate & investment banking, capital markets and consumer banking. Before he joined DBS, he was the CEO of Rabobank in India. Prior to that, he worked for 19 years at Citibank in various roles across consumer and wholesale banking. He subsequently headed the investment banking division at Lehman Brothers in India.

Ms. Rajkamal Vempati was honoured with the prestigious Distinguished Alumni Award at the Homecoming on 9th Dec,'23

Rajkamal Vempati is the President and Head of Human Resources at Axis Bank. She is a member of the Management Committee and a passionate advocate for sustaining a human workplace and creating an inclusive culture geared for the future. Ms. Vempati serves on the Board of the NHRD. She is also a member of the FICCI HR Committee and the CII National Committee for HR and Leadership. She has been awarded an Honoris Causa Ph.D by Manav Rachna International Institute Of Research and Studies. Prior to joining Axis Bank, she led the Human Resources department at ICICI Lombard General Insurance Company.

Ms. Irina Ghose was honoured with the prestigious Distinguished Alumni Award at the Homecoming on 9th Dec,'23

Irina Ghose is Managing Director at Microsoft India. She specializes in spearheading digital transformation and fostering innovation within the industry. Her 20-plus-year tenure at Microsoft encompasses varied leadership roles, including COO for Microsoft India, focusing on operations and market strategies. She is a recognized proponent of Women in Business and Technology, receiving the ‘Inspirational Women’s Award’ and the ‘Distinguished Alumnus Award’ from IIT BHU. Founder of ‘MyLittleBit,’ a foundation aiding underprivileged girls, Ms. Ghose also contributes significantly to women's entrepreneurship through her roles with ‘Microsoft for Startups’ and SonderConnect.

Mr. Ashok Ramachandran, alumnus of the PMIR Batch of 1989, has been appointed as the new Director HR of Aditya Birla Group. Ramchandran has been with the group since the year 2015 and is a seasoned HR professional with over 34 years of rich and varied experience in HR.

We wish him all the best for the new role and all his future endeavours.

ALCOM brings an inspiring expedition at XLEAP on November 25, 2023, hosted at XLRI Delhi. ALCOM and CRUX join forces for the consulting panel. Seize this exclusive chance to explore innovation and glean valuable insights from renowned experts in marketing, finance, and consulting.

Shweta Shukla, a 2001 XLRI PMIR graduate, has made significant strides in her career, recently appointed as Chief People Officer at Lenskart. In this role, she leads the global People function, focusing on organizational growth, effectiveness, and leadership development.

Shweta's journey includes impactful roles at major organizations. She was the Vice President of Talent & Human Resources - Asia Pacific at Netflix, overseeing the Talent/Human Resources function across the region. Prior to that, she held key HR roles at Facebook, managing functions in South East Asia, India, and North Asia.

Her career also spans important positions at Aon Hewitt and Genpact, where she contributed significantly to their HR strategies. We applaud Shweta's exemplary achievements in the HR field and her commitment to shaping positive organizational cultures. Her ascent in the corporate world is a source of inspiration for many.
