Students of Xavier Online Learning (XOL: Post Graduate Diploma in Finance Program), Xavier School of Management – XLRI Jamshedpur, secured 2nd Runner Up rank in NJ Factor Investing Olympiad – an annual factor investing challenge for India’s premier business schools, organized by NJ Mutual Fund & Asset Management.

XLRI Jamshedpur’s Team Medallion (XOL), comprising Ankit Singhal, Divyanshu Raj, Rohan Banerjee, Niket Kulkarni, and Rishav Anand secured the 2nd Runner Up rank and won the prize money of Rs 2.5 Lakh under the guidance of Prof. Pankaj Agarwal (From XLRI Delhi).

XLRI Team Medallion (XOL) received the prize on April 27, 2024, at Hotel Le Meridian, Surat, Gujarat.

XLRI Jamshedpur hosted a Doctoral Colloquium on April 8-10, 2024, as part of its 75th Year Platinum Jubilee Celebrations on the theme of Artificial Intelligence and Sustainability. The 3-day event observed 117 paper submissions from 5 countries: India, Nepal, Oman, Spain, and the UK. Upon review, 62 papers were invited for presentations - 19 doctoral scholars from XLRI Jamshedpur and 43 doctoral scholars affiliated with other universities and institutions.

The 62 papers were divided across 7 tracks and 14 paper presentation sessions. The event included 7 best paper awards across each of these seven tracks. Winners of the Best Paper awards were announced in the valedictory session of the event. Mr. Kumar Rohit (IIM Visakhapatnam) received the award in marketing track, Manik Chandra Dey (Fakir Mohan University, Balasore) in Finance track, Ms. Soumita Ghosh (XLRI Jamshedpur) in Operations track, Mr. Sai Naveen (Sri Satya Sai Institute of Higher Learning) in Human Resource and Organization Behaviour (HR/OB) track, Ms. Swati Agarwal (XLRI Jamshedpur) in strategy track, Ms. Rishika Raj (IIT, Kharagpur) in Sustainability and Policy track, and Ms. Pooja Kewalramani (Dayalbagh Educational Institute, Agra) in Entrepreneurship track.

XLRI Jamshedpur won 1st place in the first edition of the EMCS & TLC@MDI India compact case competition 2023. A case study from XLRI Case Research and Simulation Development Center (XL-CRSDC) titled “Should Agastya Inventions Accept the Joint Venture Offer from SergeFerrari?” written by Prof. Trilochan Tripathy, Mr. Benudhar Sahu and Ms. Neeti Madhok, was selected by the judging panel with highest recognition.

The compact case competition was conducted by the Emerald Emerging Markets Case Studies (EMCS) in partnership with the Teaching and Learning Centre at Management Development Institute (TLC@MDI), Gurgaon, India. The case was selected for publication in the Scopus-indexed EMCS collection.

The Case Research and Simulation Development Centre (XL-CRSDC) was established with the vision to make XLRI a major business case repository in India. Its mission is to facilitate excellence in business pedagogy and research through case studies. The Centre has forged strategic collaboration with several corporates and institutions to develop impactful field-based cases.

XLRI Jamshedpur conducted its 1st Convocation Ceremony of the PGDM (HRM) Program for Emerging CHROs on April 15, 2024 at Tata Auditorium, XLRI Jamshedpur Campus. The Chief Guest for the event was Ms Anuradha Razdan, Executive Director HR & CHRO of Hindustan Unilever & Unilever South Asia.

A total of 38 students received their post graduate diploma degrees. The XLRI Medal for Academic Excellence was awarded to Mr. Varun Sevva Reddy.

As the role of Human Resources (HR) in organizations continues to evolve and gain prominence, there is a growing demand for competent Chief Human Resources Officers (CHROs) who can navigate the complexities of the modern workplace. XLRI, leveraging its rich legacy in management education and industry partnerships, launched the PGDM (HRM) Program for Emerging CHROs tailored specifically for emerging CHROs in March 2022.

XLRI Jamshedpur proudly convened its 68th Annual Convocation ceremony on March 23rd, marking a significant milestone in the legacy of 75 years of academic excellence.

The ceremony, a testament to XLRI's longstanding commitment to excellence, honoured a total of 551 graduates across various programs, including PGDM HRM, BM,GMP, FPM and Exec-FPM. Additionally, special accolades were extended to XLRI's 15 Years of Long Service medal winners. Director Fr. S George expressed his heartfelt congratulations to the graduates and convened the celebrations of the Platinum Jubilee year.

Embracing the legacy of excellence, XLRI Jamshedpur celebrated its 68th Convocation on 23rd March 2024, in which, Mr. TV Narendran, CEO & MD, Tata Steel and Chairman of XLRI conferred the prestigious Sir Jehangir Ghandy Medal for Industrial and Social Peace to Mr. N Chandrasekaran, Chairman, TATA Sons.

The award was a tribute to him by XLRI for his inspiring perseverance to attain high standards in business leadership and relentless effort invested in making our society a better place to live in.

The foundation stone for the new hostel was laid by esteemed guests, marking a pivotal moment in the development of our campus infrastructure.

This groundbreaking venture aims to foster global automobile design talents in India, aligning with Prime Minister Narendra Modi's vision and positioning India as a hub for automobile design.

INDEA, conceived in the 75th year of our republic, pays homage to the unique nation we have crafted ourselves into while demonstrating our capability to build world-class institutions. It coincides with XLRI’s 75th-anniversary celebrations, marking a significant milestone in our journey.

The panel on " Creating a Culture for Genuine Inclusion" featured Shipra Sud, Recruiting Business Partner-APAC at Google, Chetan Bulsari, Co-Founder at Human Compass, Sumit Sangwan, Vice President at Havells India Ltd, Vikas Dua, Head Of People at Weber Shandwick, and Pooja Sharma, Ex-India Chief People Officer at WPP.

The panel discussion deeply explored the global trend of promoting inclusivity and diversity in the workplace, with speakers drawing from their corporate experiences to enrich the conversation. They shared anecdotes highlighting the importance of avoiding hasty judgments and emphasized introspection as a tool for managing biases.
