UNESCO strips Liverpool of world heritage status:

UNESCO stripped England's port city of of its World Heritage status due to irreversible loss to the historic value of Victorian docks. Liverpool is situated in the northwest of the country, where the river Mersey meets the Irish Sea. It was a key trade and migration port from the 18th to the early 20th centuries, as well as playing a significant role in the trans-Atlantic slave trade. Liverpool has enjoyed world heritage status since 2004 - placing it alongside the Taj Mahal, Great Wall of China and the Leaning Tower of Pisa. It's only the third place to be removed from the UN's prestigious list after a wildlife sanctuary in Oman in 2007 and The Dresden Elbe valley in Germany in 2009.

: The United Arab Emirates announced an offer to host the 28th session of Conference of Parties (COP 28) to the UNFCCC in Abu Dhabi in 2023. COP 26 was postponed in 2020 and will take place in Glasgow, UK in November 2021.

: Six Indian places have been added to the tentative list of UNESCO (United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization) world heritage sites.
The submissions were made by Archaeological Survey of India, which is responsible for the conservation and preservation of Indian monuments.

2. Ghats of Varanasi (Uttar Pradesh).
3. Megalithic Site of Hire Benkal (Karnataka).
4. Maratha Military Architecture in Maharashtra.
5. Bhedaghat-Lametaghat in Narmada Valley- Jabalpur (Madhya Pradesh).
6. Temples of Kanchipuram (Tamil Nadu).
