कठुआ जिले में तस्कर पशु तस्करी के लिए अलग अलग हथकंडे अपना रहे हैं । लेकिन लखनपुर पुलिस के थाना प्रभारी सुनील शर्मा और उनकी टीम की सतर्कता के चलते सभी हथकंडे नाकाम हो रहें हैं ताजा उदाहरण आज देर शाम का है । लखनपुर पुलिस के थाना प्रभारी सुनील शर्मा ने पशु तस्करी की एक पुख्ता सुचना के आधार पर नाका लगाया हुआ था और जैसे ही गैस टैंकर नाकें पर पहुंचा थाना प्रभारी सुनील शर्मा और उनकी टीम ने एक गैस टैंकर कब्जे में लेकर 12 वेजुवान पशुओं को तस्करों के चुंगल से मुक्त करवाया। लखनपुर पुलिस ने मामला दर्ज कर जांच शुरू कर दी है।

SPPND GDC Samba Celebrates National Voters’
Day on 25-01-2024
Department of Political Science, SPPND Govt Degree College Samba in collaboration with NSS and NCC units of the college celebrated National Voters’ Day on the theme “Nothing like voting, I vote for sure” under the aegis of Viksit Bharat@2047. The programme was organized under the patronage of Prof. (Dr.) Twinkle Suri, Principal of the college. The day was celebrated by organizing the NVD Pledge Ceremony by the Principal, staff and students of the college. The pledge advocated the democratic customs of our country and to vote in every election valiantly and not on the basis of religion, race, caste, community, language or any incentive.
A motivation lecture was delivered by Mr. Nawaz Sharief, District Social Welfare Officer, Samba on “Role of Voting for Developed India” wherein he emphasized the role of young voters in spreading awareness about ethical voting and making informed choices in achieving the goal of Developed India. Furthermore the students of the college presented a group song on democracy at Veer Bhoomi Park, Samba. Prof.(Dr.) Twinkle Suri, Principal of the college encouraged the students to participate in the electoral process to fulfil the dream of Viksit Bharat.

ADGP Jammu adhere SP rank to Shivam Siddharth SP City North Jammu

Jammu, January 24th 2024:- Additional Director General of Police Jammu Zone, Jammu Shri Anand Jain, IPS, decorated SP rank to Shivam SiddharthI, IPS posted as SP City North in district Jammu in a simple function held at ZPHQ Jammu.
While felicitating the SP City North, ADGP Jammu Zone urged the officer to work with zeal and zest to make the department proud. He expressed his hope that the promotion would bring a new spirit of public service among the officer.

APPROX. 250 LOGS OF KHAIR WOOD RECOVERED/ SEIZED BY KATHUA POLICE IN THE JURISDICTIONAL AREA OF PP RAMKOT ; 04 PERSONS ARRESTED; SEIZED 02 TRUCKS INVOLVED.

KATHUA; 21 JAN- Kathua Police today seized two Trucks laden with "Khair Wood" (approx. 250 logs) in the jurisdictional area of PP Ramkot which were allegedly being smuggled from Challan towards Dyalachak area and 04 persons were arrested alongwith said vehicles were seized in this connection.
On 21.01.2024 an information was received at PP Ramkot through reliably that two Trucks are indulged in the Smuggling/Theft of Banned Wood (Khair) of Forest Produce, and doing the illegal "Trade of Smuggling" of Wood(Khair) without any valid document and permission which are loaded in two vehicles(Truck) bearing Reg. No. JK08H-1690 and PB02CC-5189 respectively and proceeding from Challan towards the Dyalachak side.

Following a tip off about the smuggling of Khair wood, the police team of PP Ramkot under the guidance of SDPO Billawar laid a naka and intercepted the said Trucks bearing Reg. No.s JK08H-1690 and PB02CC-5189 which were driven by persons namely 1. Sham Lal S/o Prem Chand R/o Sudhmaha Dev Tehsil Chenani District Udhampur 2. Suresh Kumar S/o Dev Raj R/o Parangoli Tehsil Dinga Amb District Kathua alongwith two more persons who were also indulged in smuggling of Khair Wood namely 3. Kewal Singh S/o Unknown R/o Nowani Tehsil Dinga Amb 4. Rakesh Kumar S/o Unknown R/o Parangoli Tehsil Dinga Amb and recovered/seized two Trucks laden with Khair Wood when asked for any valid permission the accused persons could not produce any document related to the sale and purchase of the khair wood and therefore, the recovered Khair wood (approx. 250 logs) alongwith two vehicles were seized and 04 person were arrested on the spot. A case vide FIR No. 15/2024 U/S 379/IPC, 26/ Forest Act was registered at PS Billawar and further investigation was taken up.

कठुआ जिले की खाकी वर्दी इन दिनों पशु तस्करों के लिए काल बन चुकी हैं आप को वता दें कि थाना प्रभारी तारिक अहमद ने अपने सुचना तंत्र को इतना मजबूज किया है अपराधी बच कर निकल नही सकते अभी वीती रात में ही तारिक अहमद और उनकी टीम द्वारा 31 वेजुवान पशुओं को पशु तस्करों के चंगुल से मुक्त कराया गया था साथ ही पशु तस्करों को पकड़ कर पर कार्यवाही भी की गई हैं। यह सवसे वडी कामयाबी है। इस से पहले भी थाना प्रभारी तारिक अहमद ने पिछले एक साल में उल्लेखनीय एवं असाधारण कार्य करते हुए बढ़ते हुए नशे से युवाओं को बचाने के लिए चिट्टे के बड़े व्यापारियों और नशें की खेपें पकड़ी तथा पशु तस्करी पर बिल्कुल लगाम लगाने में कोई कसर नहीं छोड़ी है जिसके तहत उन्होंने विभिन्न पशु तस्करों को पब्लिक सेफ्टी एक्ट के तहत गिरफ्तार किया, जिले में सवसे वडे मोटरसाइकिल चोर गिरोह का भांडा फोड़ कर 50 के करीब मोटरसाइकिल वरामद किए। पिछले 1 साल में ऐसे कई अपराधी पकड़े हैं जो काफी लंबे समय से पुलिस की पकड़ से बाहर थे । वहीं उन्होंने वैश्विक महामारी कोरोना के समय में भी अपनी जान जोखिम में डालकर लोगों की मदद की है।वही पशु तस्करों तथा नशा तस्करों पर किए गए उनके कार्य को लेकर समाज के हर वर्ग ने उनकी तारीफ की हैं।

ADGP Jammu reviews Security arrangements for -2024

Jammu, January 15th 2024:- Addl. Director General of Police Jammu Zone, Jammu Sh. Anand Jain, IPS held a meeting with the officers of intelligence agencies, Army/BSF/CRPF/Armed/District Police and Civil Administration at Zonal Police Headquarters, Jammu to discuss the Police/Security arrangements required to be made for the celebration of .
1. During the review, ADGP Jammu emphasized the importance of collaboration among various law enforcement agencies, intelligence units, and other stakeholders to create a robust security framework. Special attention was given to crowd management, traffic control, and the deployment of advanced surveillance technologies to enhance situational awareness.
2. ADGP, Jammu Zone, Jammu, Sh. Anand Jain, IPS stressed upon all the officers that proper briefing be given to the officers/ Officials deployed for Republic Day duties .
3. He stressed upon all the participants for effective and coordinated efforts at gross root level for smooth conduct of the National events. He further advised that adequate security arrangements be made in and around the venue of Republic Day function which is organized at M.A. Stadium.
4. Sh. Anand Jain, IPS further directed all the intelligence agencies including SSP Jammu to activate their all resources available with them to generate intelligence having bearing on Republic Day-2024 in advance so that anti-national and anti-social elements could not succeed in their nefarious designs. He further said that Supervisory officers be directed to remain alert in their respective jurisdictional areas.
5. He further said that a proper co-ordination be maintained among all the intelligence agencies, Army, PMF, Traffic and Security wing in their respective areas of jurisdiction to foil the nefarious designs of ANEs and ensure smooth and incident free conduct of National event.
6. He emphasized upon SSP Jammu/SSP Traffic City, Jammu to create adequate parking slots be identified in advance so that vehicles are parked in an orderly manner. Traffic arrangements be made in such a manner so that general public may not feel any inconvenience while reaching the venue of function.
7. The officers who were present in the meeting include; DDIB Jammu , DIG Armed, Jammu, DIG IRP , Jammu ,DIG Traffic, Jammu , SSP Jammu, SSP Traffic, SSP Security, Jammu, SSP CID CI, Jammu, CO IRP 18th Bn. , SSP PCR, Jammu, SP Tele communication, SP APCR, Jammu, CO CRPF Jammu, SP City North/South/Hqr/Rural, SP Ops, Jammu, Dy.CO SDRF, Addl.SP CID SB, Jammu .

*Theft case solved, stolen cash and items worth Rs 5 lakhs recovered by PS Gangyal Jammu*

An information was received at PS Gangyal regarding theft in TATA Fair deal workshop kunjwani from which cash along with mechanical parts worth Rs 5 lakhs got stolen.

In this regard, case FIR No. 06/2024 U/S 457/380 IPC got registered at PS Gangyal and investigation started.

After this special police teams of PS Gangyal led by SHO PS Gangyal Inspector Jaswinder Singh did strenuous efforts finally rounded up one suspected person later identified as :- Avtar Singh S/o Sulinder Singh R/o Baba Fareed Nagar. During questioning accused confessed his involvement in the above case and on his disclosure stolen cash along with mechanical parts was recovered from his possession.

Further investigation of the case is going on

SPS PTS KATHUA ORGANISES GUEST LECTURE ON FORENSIC SCIENCE AND FORENSIC MEDICINE.

On 08/01/2024 SPS PTS Kathua organized guest lecture on "FORENSIC SCIENCE AND FORENSIC MEDICINE" for the trainees 30 th BRTC BATCH of this institution .
The guest lecture was organised on the initiative and guidance of Principal SPS, PTS Kathua MS. Manjit kour S.S.P (JKPS ).
The resource persons for the module were Dr. Dimple Thakur and Dr.Diksha Sharma from the Department of Forensic Medicine and Toxicology, GMC Kathua.
During the workshop the trainees were explained in detail about the Methods of establishing identity of dead person,Exhumation ,Postmortem examination,examination of mutilated dead bodies,skeletal remains,determination of s*x and age, methods of establishing identity of living subject including determination of age, medicolegal aspects of death with amphasis and time since death Homicidal,Suicidal, Accidental and natural death, s*xual offences including R**e illegal Abortion and Infanticide etc.
At last,a question/answer session was conducted . This training module proved very helpful in exposing their skills in Investigation.
Later, the resource person was felicitated with token of gratitude by the staff of SPS PTS kathua.

*SSP Pulwama chairs crime & security review meeting*

*January 07:* ```SSP Pulwama Shri Mohd Yousif-JKPS chaired a crime & security review meeting at District Police Lines Pulwama.

The meeting was attended by Addl. SP Pulwama, SP Hqrs Pulwama, DySP DAR, DySP PC Kakapora, SDPO Litter, SHOs, Incharge PPs of District Pulwama and IC Police Components.

SSP Pulwama urged the participants to address and resolve various challenges related to policing and security in the district. He emphasized the critical need to fortify the counter-insurgency and security grid across the district. He stressed the importance of taking decisive actions against individuals involved in anti-national activities and maintaining vigilant surveillance in areas of concern.

The officers were urged to make all possible efforts to fight against menace of drug abuse and work with dedication to prevent social crimes. SSP Pulwama emphasized upon the participating officers to ensure quantitative and qualitative disposal of under investigation criminal cases. All officers were instructed to adopt a public-centric approach and to ensure timely redressal of their grievances.```

SPS PTS KATHUA ORGANISES GUEST LECTURE/DEMONSTRATION/WORKSHOP ON DISASTER MANAGEMENT.

On 6/01/2024 SPS PTS Kathua organized guest lecture/demonstration on disaster management for the officers, staff and trainees of 30th BRTC by SDRF 2nd Bn.

The training cm awareness programme aimed at equipping the trainees with the knowledge about the disasters and to assimilate effectively the procedure to be followed during disasters and respond promptly whenever emergency arises. The key resource persons including sub. Inspector Vikas Sharma, I/C SDRF Component Kathua. During the workshop the trainees were explained in detail about the steps to be taken during the golden hour period in various case scenarios like trauma cases, obstruction cases during choking, bleeding cases etc. Live demonstration about CPR (Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation) method as first aid to save life of a victim of cardiac arrest and how to approach fire incident site wearing fire entry suits were performed by the trainees themselves. The various activities carried out during the workshop included technical session, mock exercises and tabletop exercises. Further the trainees were acquainted with equipments used by SDRF team and its purpose. The list of equipments included life saving jackets, stretchers, slings, hard duty mitton, first aid box, rotary rescue saw, chain saw, drill machine, full body harness, hydraulic jack, hydraulic cutter and fire entry suits.This training module proved helpful in introducing the trainees to various medical skills required to handle different types of emergencies, related challenges and the remedial measures.

Udhampur Police with the aim to extend public services recovered 25 stolen Android Mobile handsets with a purchase value of Rs 3.5 lacs approximately for which missing complaints were registered in Police Station Udhampur.
