We are back with our One-day Acting Workshop 'ULSAHAM' on September 29, Sunday after a fabulous week of new learnings and fresh perspectives.

The day-long programme is a space for curious individuals looking to explore acting and theatre. This beginner-friendly workshop will help individuals acknowledge themselves (body, mind and voice), build their awareness, open up their imagination, shed inhibitions and find their playful self, and allow pieces of theatre to flow out through them into our space. Join us for an evening of storytelling and playtime for children, parents and caregivers on September 21. 'The Sweetest Mango' is a story of a young boy who has travelled to his mother's village but everything is new to him after having lived in the city all his life. Will he ever make friends? Will he get used to life in the village?

NEW WORKSHOP ALERT 📣
THE POETIC BODY is a two-day exploration of the journey of the Neutral Mask. This theatrical tool developed by Jacques Lecoq helps actors and artists develop emotional honesty and economy of movement, while creating an inner core that is balanced, centred and focused.

The Journey of the Neutral Mask workshop is offered by Ana Mirtha Sariego .theatre at Rasa Studio in Tripunithura. Ana Mirtha is an actor, director, theatre maker and pedagogue. She founded her own devising theatre company Knuk Theatre in 2015 after graduating from London International School of Performing Arts (LISPA).

In search of their authentic space they treaded through the path of the unknown. They fell, cursed, yet pulled themselves together, reflected on their journey and found their discoveries. We turned 3 on July 15 and we gathered to share stories that made us laugh and cry. This has been a great ride and we are grateful to for giving us a home, everyone who has walked in through our doors, some who have stuck by us and also those who took stories from our space to places they have gone to. Thanks to everyone who made the evening memorable. And like in the theatre, the show goes on.

Remembering Vaikom Muhammad Basheer through the Dramatised Play Reading of his play 'Kathabeejam' on July 6, Sunday. It was an evening of cherishing the beautiful work of Basheer and having a chat about one of Kerala's most celebrated writers. On the 30th anniversary of his passing and 80 years since the play was written, Basheer continues to stay relevant and celebrated. We are glad we could hold space and take time to reminisce about the words of this doyen.
The play reading was performed and held together by previous participants of our workshops for adults Aarambam and Ulsaham. We are glad that .pete could commit to this performance and .harikrishna who worked hard in rehearsal but had to drop out due to bad health. The direction of this reading was assisted by and led by
Our studio was filled by some of our regular patrons, some of whom have been part of our workshops and also had some new faces step into our space and brighten it. We would like to thank for the space and the constant support.

Only a very few writers have captured the collective imagination of Malayalees as Vaikom Muhammad Basheer has. We commemorate this doyen through a Dramatised Play Reading of 'Kathabeejam' on July 6, Saturday at 6:30pm in our studio, inside One Little Earth, Tripunithura.

Ulsaham edition 10 was a blur. The one-day workshop was about connecting with the self and others in space, letting out our natural voice, expressing using our body and improvising, while finding the sense of play in everything we do. The May gang was made up of a filmmaker, businessmean, teacher, software professional, doctor, student and models and what fun it was.

Adhyaayam Edition 4 | June 11-15 (16 off) 17-21 | 10am-6pm

The workshop is a deep dive into the actors' craft. It is an exploratory journey that will offer participants an understanding of performance energy, rhythm, working with imagination and culminating in a performance. It will also offer participants an everyday practice as a takeaway. This 75-hour programme is suited for actors looking to add to their tools and beginners who are keen to embark on their acting journey.

Ulsaham was a day of connecting with the self, letting out our natural voice, bonding with those around us, finding our sense of play, making up stories, believing in ourselves and everything we are doing and creating an improvised performance. The ninth edition of our one-day acting workshop was a fun exploration of theatre, acting and a space to let go of ourselves.
