The Archana Sharma Foundation of Calcutta, a registered Society of the West Bengal Societies registration act 1961, was founded by Professor Arun Kumar Sharma in the year 2009. Besides publishing the journal "The Nucleus" with Springer-Nature as the co-publisher, there are a number of objectives with which the society members also involved such as conducting annual memorial orations, other lecture

On 29th March, 2023, we would have the honour of hosting Prof. Dr. Annette Becker. She is going to deliver a lecture at the Archana Sharma Memorial Hall, Department of Botany, CU, at 2 pm. Putting the pandemic woes behind us, the ASFC is organizing a one day National Symposium on "Frontiers in Plant Science Research", in collaboration with the Department of Botany, University of Calcutta, on 10th June, 2022, at the Archana Sharma Memorial Hall. Distinguished speakers from different institutions will share their research insights with the audience. The symposium will also provide an opportunity for budding researchers to present their work in front of the eminent scientists as oral or poster presentation.
