The impact of trauma is not only limited to psychological destruction. The truth is, the trauma that you go through whether in your childhood or in any abusive relationship , shakes your core.

The major impact of the trauma that I had been through, was on my health. As young child, I was diagnosed with irritable bowel syndrome and when I grew up a little, I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism.

The problems kept on increasing till a point reached in my life where I developed hypochondriasis.

I can remember myself begging before God to allow me pass urine the last time. I remember how my body twitched and Tingled uncontrollably.

In hot summers, I used to shiver with cold while sweating at the same time. It was obviously not an easy journey for me. The suffering felt never ending. I reached a point where I wanted to end my life however I didn't.

Traumatic experiences destroy our nervous system's stability and regulating capabilities. It triggers diseases, disorders and defects that are very rare in people who don't experience trauma.
