Today on World Animal Day, 2023, let's pledge to be compassionate towards all sentient beings and educate our future generations to do the same. Let's spread love, not hatred by acknowledging all living creatures as sentient beings.

🐑 Let's pledge not to misuse their fur for covering our body! Let's stop torturing them for our pretty dresses.

🐣 Let's come forward and raise our voice against battery cages! They can feel the pain too! They too have the right to live with dignity!
Let's help others reduce the consumption of chicken!

🐄 Let's promise not to slaughter them and deprive their calves of their mother's milk.
Let's say no to Beef!

🕊️ Let's help nature's most beautiful species fly high in the sky and not cage them!

🐒 Let's promise not to use them for the purpose of our entertainment.

🦙 Let's not make them victims of our superstitions and consume them to fulfill our greed!

🐇 Let's promise not to use them for the purpose of Animal Testing.

🐖 Let's be humane towards these bubbly cute faces and stop exploiting them for their meat!
Say No to Pork!

🦫 Let's promise not to use them for the purpose of cruel experiments.

🐀 Let's promise not to use them for the purpose of Animal Testing!

Big or Small, Love them all ❤️

Yesterday, on World Rabies Day, 2023 Kolkata Animal Welfare Indian Foundation successfully vaccinated around 240 street dogs, fed around 300 community animals and conducted free health check up of street dogs along with a short awareness program on Rabies for the masses.

We are grateful to the World Animal Protection India for the collaboration and helping us by providing vaccines for 200 dogs and leaflets for spreading awareness regarding Rabies among the masses.

We are extremely thankful to Dr. Ranajit Bhattacharya (NRS Medical College and Hospital) for sponsoring the meal for the street dogs on the birthday of his Child, Happy and also for his graceful presence.

Apart from this, we are lucky to have the support of our members and volunteers and the members of Netaji Sangha Club, without whom this program would never have been successful.

Last but not the least, our heartfelt gratitude to Mrs. Gita Mukherjee and Mr. Saptam Mukherjee whose hardwork and support has been instrumental in making this program a grand success.

🛑Fund Appeal for this little pup🛑

We have rescued this tiny little friend of ours on 7th May,2023 from Behala, Thakurpukur area of Kolkata. He has been with us at our shelter since then.
He met with an accident due to which the bone of one of his hind legs has been broken and exposed. We have been carrying out his treatment and providing him with the necessary medications. As per the doctor's suggestion, his leg needed an amputation, but we have been lucky enough to save his leg from being amputed. Bone pinning has been carried out in order to fix his broken bone. He is recovering but we need to keep him under our care and treatment for another few days.

We are running short of funds since we have to administer a number of spot treatments on a daily basis and take care of two other dogs kaalu and goldu at our shelter.
Kindly help us to continue the treatment of our tiny little friend so that he can be back to a normal life.
Kindly donate👇🏻

🛑 Adoption Appeal 🛑

This three-years old (approx) German Shepherd, rescued by Atanu, (Founder Member of ) from Nazirabad a few months back, was abandoned by his owner, since this innocent baby was suffering from some skin problems. We managed to keep him in a paid shelter for about 50 days and continued his treatment. He has almost recovered, but there are still some minor skin problems which will soon heal.

We have posted earlier for his adoption many times, and got him adopted with a family, but unfortunately they were no longer capable of keeping him. Also we were running short of funds since more than Rs 10,000 has been spent on his shelter, treatment and medications. Therefore, we had no other option but to shift him to Chhaya Veterinary Hospital the day before yesterday (06.03.23).

However, we are not losing hope. We are appealing once again to all of you that if anyone can give this poor soul a loving home, kindly come forward and pull him out of this life no better than hell. He is heartbroken and terrified due to the change of owners; he has been through a lot of pain and trauma. It's our duty to rebuild his faith and love in hoomans and secure his future.

These poor souls are ready to give up their lives for us, can't we help them in return to find a small room of love and care? Please come forward and help this baby!🙏🏻

If anyone is interested to adopt him, please reach out to us at👇🏻

🛑 Regarding Supreme Court's Order on Stray Dogs 🛑

Share & Educate.!

First and foremost one thing needs to be understood that the news media has never been worried about animals. They don't have feelings and compassion towards animals. They are just concerned about their TRP. So, don't help them to raise TRP by spreading all such nonsense articles/videos.

Don't spread rumours and turn a deaf ear to all such misleading reports. Keep such unconfirmed pieces of information to yourself and don't pass them along as "fake news". Investigate the original happenings, the exact sequence of events and judge it yourself before circulating it among the masses.

This is the original copy of the Record of proceedings and the order of the Honourable Supreme Court after hearing the street dog petition on September 9, 2022.

The court has fixed September 28, 2022 as the next date of hearing in the case.
