Select produce from APPL’s marquee estates such as Borjan, Chubwa and Borhat were selected by expert buyers of Ahmad Tea to meet the expectation of their consumers. Our teas were evaluated based on quality supplied, quality & condition of paper sacks, shipment timing and other parameters in their factory at Dubai. Ahmad Tea is a Tea Company based in Chandler’s Ford, Hampshire, UK distributing teas to over 80 countries on six continents, where it can be found only in select restaurants, hotels, speciality shops etc. Ahmad Tea is also a member of the Ethical Tea Partnership, a Not-for-Profit organization created by a group of teas companies to help address supply chain challenges of the tea industry in a sustainable manner.

OBA-SSG Awareness Program:
An Awareness program on Health & Hygiene and MSME was organised at Hattigor Tea Estate Hospital by OBA-SSG(Old Boys Association - Sainik School, Goalpara).

Awareness on Anemia-Hypertension & Vitamin A Deficiency by Dr. Ramesh Goswami, SDM & HO, Mangaldai, a member of OBA-SSG, was praiseworthy.

Mr. Gulia is the Managing Director & Chief Executive Officer at Amalgamated Plantations Pvt. Ltd.

With his exceptional expertise and leadership, the committee is poised to make significant strides in promoting Indian tea both domestically and in new international markets.

We extend a very warm welcome and look forward to seeing how your contributions will prosper.

Mr. Vikram Singh Gulia has assumed the esteem role of being the Chairman ICC National Expert Committee on Tea. Mr Gulia will spearhead the committee which has Senior representatives & experts from the Tea Industry. The committee also enjoys hand holding and support from Tea Board India and other premium tea institutions. In coming days ICC TEA COMMITTEE will work on Indian Tea promotion at domestic and new international markets. The committee would support the tea sector in aspects of Tea Marketing, Tea Branding, Digitization, Smart Packaging, Certifications, Skilling activities, encouraging youth to consider TEA as a most preferred beverage and also highlight the liquid as a HEALTH DRINK.

The Committee will also mount suitable Delegations to various Ministries, Government Departments, Foreign land to address tea industry bottlenecks and boost overseas tea exports and pen Cross Border MOU's with Tea Associations or Chambers and various other Institutions.

APPL Foundation and Amalgamated Plantations Private Limited took a step forward towards the betterment of the treatment facility for the patients at RHRC, this July. The Chairman of APPL Foundation and Amalgamated Plantations Private Limited, Mr. Ajoyendra Mukherjee inaugurated the CT SCAN unit at RHRC, Chubwa, Assam in the august presence of the Board of Directors of APPL and the Trustees of APPLF.

It is a 96 slice CT Scan machine from Siemens which is funded by Tata Consumer Products Limited as part of their CSR Initiative. This addition would surely help the patients to avail an enhanced benefit of treatment, in the days ahead.

Moments of School Building Inauguration at Nahortoli, Assam

"The inauguration of Government Model Secondary School was done on 19th June 2023 in Nahortoli Tea Estate, Kodomoni Division under the new education policy initiative by Govt. of Assam. The strength of newly admitted students is 211 from Nahortoli TE , Hezelbank and Nudwa TE. Students from nearby villages have also taken admission. The Govt has appointed 8 teachers having master's degree in various subject.
The inauguration of the school was done by Cabinet Minister of Education Shri Ranoj Pegu. The following guests were present in the inauguration function : MLA of Chabua Shri Purnakon Baruah, Deputy Commissioner of Dibrugarh Shri Biswajit Pegu, ADC Sangamitra Baruah, Circle Officer Silpi Sikha Thakuria, Inspector of Schools Binti Sarma and Manager of Nahortoli TE Shri Debjit Borah."

Quality Improvement Awards 2022-23: Moments from Borjan Tea Estate

The Felicitation Ceremony of the Quality Improvement Awards 2022-23 had been recently organized with a lot of enthusiasm and participation at the 4 Tea Estates of Assam – Teok, Borjan, Diffloo & Kellyden between 15 -17 June 2023. A few snippets of the Awards Ceremony at the is being shared here.

The Award on Quality Improvement aims to recognize the wonderful work of the pluckers which would in turn motivate the rest of them to improve their work standards, thereby augmenting the Estate’s performance. The ceremony involved felicitation of the top 50 permanent pluckers who did exceptionally well in terms of attendance and productivity and all others were rewarded with medals and gifts.
The event was attended by all the permanent workers and staff members of the Estates. It was graced by Mr. Vikram Singh Gulia, MD and CEO, Mr. Pravir Murari, advisor to MD, Mr. Gautam Barooah, Head of Plantations, Ms. Sheeja MS, Head of HR, Mr. Sanjay Dutta, Senior GM-Operations & QC, Mr. Pran Bhattacharya, GM Operations, Mr. Gunajit Deka - GM Operations, Mr. Rana Barua, GM Operations, Mr. Mrinmoy Baruah, Sr. Manager IR & PR, Mr. Raj Borthakur, Manager HR, and Mr. Inder Malhotra, Manager Engineering Cell QC.

We are happy to announce the launch of our flagship tea lounge The Tea Cove in GS Road, Guwahati. The Tea Cove is a chronicle of the varied nuances that teas has to offer. With our century long heritage and expertise in tea, we would like to present a unique Tea experience for guests.

Historically, our tea shop on GS Road has been a favourite with Guwahati. Tea connoiseurs from different parts of the city frequented the store to buy estate fresh teas along with estate fresh spices, honey, etc. Keeping the consumer demand in mind, we have given our store a make over complete with a lounge space. Our guests can now enjoy a cup of tea or shop their favorite ones in a quiet serene corner amidst the town high street.

In an one of its kind experience, we will be offering our guests an array of hot and cold teas brewed with handcrafted artisanal teas that are produced in small, limited batches. Alongwith, we have put together a delectable food pairing menu to complement our tea offerings at its best. The lounge will also be offering an array of loose teas from our own estates and tea packs from our signatureb brands like Hathikuli, Teas From India and Majuli Mist Roasted.

It has been our endeavour to present to our customers the best value and quality when it comes to our products. At The Tea Cove, we will be committed to serve our guests with high standards of food and beverage service.

It is a moment of great pride for us. Jakir Hussain from Amalgamated Plantations will be representing Assam in Golf in the upcoming National Games to be held in Gujarat. We wish him good luck and success for the tournament.
