**Heatstroke**

Why does heatstroke cause death?
Hundreds of people are dying from heatstroke from Delhi to Andhra Pradesh.

Why do some people die suddenly from heatstroke when we all move around in the sun?

👉 Our body temperature is always around 37°C, and at this temperature, all our organs function properly.

👉 The body maintains the 37°C temperature by expelling water in the form of sweat, and it is crucial to keep drinking water continuously while sweating.

👉 Water performs many functions in the body; when there is a shortage of water, the body stops expelling water as sweat.

👉 When the outside temperature exceeds 45°C, the body's cooling system shuts down, causing the body temperature to rise above 37°C.

👉 When the body temperature reaches 42°C, the blood starts heating up, and the proteins in the blood begin to cook (similar to how an egg cooks in boiling water).

👉 The nerves start to stiffen, and the nerves required for breathing also stop working.

👉 With a lack of water, the blood becomes thick, blood pressure drops, and blood supply to vital organs (especially the brain) stops.

👉 The person goes into a coma, and the organs start to fail one by one, leading to death in a short time.

👉 To prevent such disasters during summer, keep drinking small amounts of water continuously and ensure the body temperature stays at 37°C.

**Equinox Phenomenon:**
The equinox phenomenon will affect most parts of Asia over the next 5-7 days.

👉 Try to stay indoors, in rooms, or offices as much as possible between 12 PM to 3 PM.

👉 The temperature will hover around 40°C, causing dehydration and heatstroke.

👉 This change occurs because the sun is shining directly over the equator.

👉 Prevent dehydration by drinking at least 3 liters of water daily. People with kidney disease should drink at least 6 to 8 liters per day.

👉 Keep an eye on blood pressure. Anyone can suffer from heatstroke.

👉 Bathe in cold water. Reduce or avoid meat consumption.

👉 Increase the intake of fruits and vegetables in your diet.

👉 Heatwaves are not a joke.

👉 Place an unused candle outside; if it melts, it indicates a severe condition.

👉 Keep two half-filled open containers of water in bedrooms and other rooms to maintain humidity.

👉 Try to keep your lips and eyes moist.
