ANNOUNCEMENT -

The launch of William Dalrymple's The Anarchy will be held at the Abanindranath Tagore Gallery, ICCR instead of Metcalfe Hall due to unavoidable circumstances.

The author will be making a presentation, which will be followed by a Q&A session with author and stand-up comedian Anuvab Pal.

{Installation: The River as Storyteller}

A handmade dinghy boat from the river Hugli, made in collaboration with a local craftsman, is retrofitted with a state-of-the-art interactive touchtable. The touchtable displays key events & ideas that shaped the culture of the city through interactive touchpoints - a marriage of craft and technology to engage children and youth.
Overhead, an origami canopy, mirrors the fluid form of the river with abstract projections mapped on to it. A selection of vintage prints & paintings on the wall, reproduced from the Victoria Memorial Hall collection, displays the continuity of the bond between the river and the city.
