Many posts based on the baseless articles read in media are blaming the Pitbull breed, some bad pet parenting. None has even spoken with the poor guy, Amit Tripathi or the people concerned. So, I’m putting this post out to put the facts straight. I am already handling the Pitbull case so will update here, might not be able to respond to tags.

THE REALITY OF THE LUCKNOW PITBUL CASE :

To clarify first -
Amit has 2 dogs - a lab and a Pitbull, never chained or caged, freely moving in his 6000 sq foot house and would sleep with Amit on his bed. He has OBNOXIOUS NEIGHBOURS because of whom he didn’t take them out for walks and they would relieve themselves on the terrace itself.

What happened was an unfortunate accident, no one knows what triggered it. My best 2 guesses after discussing with Amit are -
1. His mother could have tripped over a sleeping Brownie who grabbed what was closest to her mouth, unfortunately it being the mother’s neck. ( remember it was 5 AM)
2. The two dogs could have gotten into a fight and the mother intervened.
In either case, before Brownie could even realise the damage was done.

The screaming and stone pelting neighbours only panicked Brownie further putting her in a defensive guarding state for the mother.

No, the wounds were absolutely not as are being described. Brownie never ate her flesh and organs as is being claimed by the useless neighbours. Pls STOP spreading lies.
SHE DIED DUE TO EXCESSIVE BLOOD LOSS !

Why ?
Because the Balrampur Hospital, where she was first rushed to,, denied to treat her after which she was taken to Trauma Center where NO ONE ATTENDED HER FOR A LONG TIME in the early hours of morning while she kept bleeding profusely. How much can an 80 yrs old delicate and fragile woman’s body endure ? But NOBODY is talking about this.

Nagar Nigam came to confiscate both his dogs on complaint of his neighbours. The chatter in the neighbourhood was to kill/poison the dogs if they are not removed. Then also he didn’t let them drag Brownie in nets. Picked her up and dropped her in the van. Despite what happened the pet parent, Amit, wants his daughter back. He maintains it was an accident and he can’t imagine why.

Brownie is being taken care of, is fully healthy and she is showing NO SIGNS OF AGGRESSION AT ALL. She is being sterlised and is under care of HSI.

It’s sad that many animal lovers are also blaming Amit and want to punish him for a freak accident because the narrative media has set is the only one we have seen. I’d request everyone to please support this guy. He’s lost his mother and his daughter both. If anything, he needs your support to bring his Brownie back home. His neighbours have categorically said they won’t let her come back, but WE NEED TO STAND UNITED AGAINST THEM. She MUST GO BACK TO HER HOME, HER ONLY WORLD.

IF ANYONE IS TO BE BLAMED, IF ANYTHING MUST CHANGE -
1. His NEIGHBOURS and all vitriolic neighbours like them who fight when people walk their dogs. As a result most pet parents quickly bring back their dogs as soon as they’ve finished their business. No more long walks which let the dog socialise and disperse his energy.
2. The SHAMEFUL DELAYED RESPONSE of HOSPITALS
3. Nagar Nigam issuing stupid knee jerk reactive advisory against owning Pitbull, Husky, Rottweiler and even some animal lovers calling out to ban Pitbull are triggering abandoning of pets. If you have to ban, ban/regulate breeders and pet shops. Ban all pedigree sales. Only shelter adoption should be permitted. But DONT SINGLE OUT ONE breed. 🙏🏻

So please, just imagine what this poor guy has been listening about himself on media. It’s not easy to deal with loss of your mother, media trash, murderous neighbours, nagar nigam, worrying for your pet daughter, doing Havans and rituals all at the same time
For once, LET ALL THE ANIMAL LOVERS STAND UNITED FOR BROWNIE.
