Bijumon Kurian, Biggest Fairtrade Fan Awardee 2016, was one of the chief speakers at the World Sustainability Forum conducted by Specialty Coffee Association of Europe (SCAE). This international event was held at Dublin in Ireland from 23 to 25 June, 2016.

Bijumon Kurian is also the President of MASS, a pioneering farmer's co-operative from Kerala with a global presence. MASS is starting an International Sustainability Academy at Idukki. The academy, which is the first-of-its-kind, will offer an intensive, hands-on, residential programme for sustainability enthusiasts.

Our Producer Co-operative Manarcadu Social Service Society, having 1628 Members including 328 women farmers & 457 tribal farmers are grouped to 15 sub-committees increased Fairtrade sales through FT Premium Utilised for various farmer developmental activities, such as setting up 15 farmer driven collection centre cm village knowledge centre, Transport vehicles, quality & quantity measurement equipment, health insurance to poor farmers, Education scholarships to children, Seeds & seedling distribution, controlled Organic Inspections etc..

Manarcadu Social Service Society (MASS) founded a Fairtrade Project in Kerala, India to help more than 1000 small and poor farmers with a vision to achieve ecologically, economically and socially sound producers through the promotion of sustainable agriculture practices.

Café de monde coffee farms grows under shade which provides a natural habitat for vast population of birds and natural enemies of insects, pests and diseases. This helps in reducing soil erosion and contributes towards the fertility of coffee soils by recycling nutrients from deep soil in the form of leaf litter and finally protects the coffee bushes from the vagaries of changing weather conditions.

Café de Monde supplies organic and FairTrade Indian coffee (Robusta and Arabica)
Our coffees which are mild and not too acidic possess an exotic full bodied taste and fine aroma and are procured from small farms, including those of tribal coffee growers from Kerala, where coffee is mainly cultivated in fertile soils in the deep jungle using traditional farming practices.These coffees are grown under a two-tier mixed shade canopy comprising of evergreen legumination and non-legumination shade trees.
