Long, long, ago, in the northern tip of the god’s own country, lived folks with hearts of gold, known for their hospitality and loved for their divine flavours, in a land called Malabar.

It was from here that the idea of Salkara was crafted. Our simple concept is inspired by the tradition of Salkaram, where the groom’s family would come to the bride's house before arranging the marriage and the cuisine of the Thiyya community, both popular during the glorious 70s and 80s in Malabar. Our cuisine and irresistible appeal come from the flavours of nostalgia that can be felt in every dimension of this unique concept restaurant.

A venture of Paragon Group of Restaurants, Salkara made its debut in June 2003 in Calicut (India), and ever since, has consistently won millions of hearts in India and the UAE.
