About 10 kms from Palolem, this strip of fine white sand is one of the most beautiful beaches in South Goa. In 2016 it was ranked on TripAdvisor's "Travelers Choice" as fourth in Asia and first in India.

This beach is a nesting ground for Olive Ridley Sea Turtles and hence there is no construction on the beach. All the restaurants and bars are on the edge of the beach but still provide a great view.

Winter is the best time to visit Goa since during summer, it's too hot over there. You get to see the churches decorated for Christmas and New Year that the place looks beautiful with gleaming lights in night.

If waiting for crocodiles in a sanctuary is too much effort, then take a ferry in the Cumbarjua canal to see crocodiles in the wild. The narrow creek is on the list of hidden places in Goa because not many venture into the muddy waters and thick mangrove for a sight of sunbathing crocs.

One of the best free things to do in Goa is to trek up to the vivacious and bustling Dudhsagar waterfall.
