Childhood obesity has become a growing concern in many countries, with an increasing number of children and adolescents being overweight or obese. This condition not only affects a child's physical health but also their emotional well-being, as it can lead to social isolation and poor self-esteem.

Many factors contribute to childhood obesity, including genetics, a sedentary lifestyle, and a diet high in processed foods and sugar. Parents, caregivers, and schools all have a role to play in preventing and managing childhood obesity by promoting healthy eating habits and physical activity.
Interventions such as regular exercise, healthy eating habits, and behavioral therapy can help children and families manage their weight and reduce the risk of obesity-related health problems. It is essential to address childhood obesity early on to prevent the long-term negative consequences and promote a healthy future for our children.
Majority of Indian population suffer from vit D deficiency , usually it is sub clinical, meaning it is only diagnosed after the testing is done. Vitamin D is mainly major constituent of non-vegetarian diet, there are very less vegetarian sources of vit D. Since India is predominantly a vegetarian consuming population , Vit D is not adequately met with the dietary source. Other important factor is exposure to sunlight, Vit D even with adequate intake in diet , it needs sunlight exposure for its activation inside the body.

There are various nutritious food options available , but the best Indian food suited are as follows
Sprouts – They are one of the rich source of calcium and proteins , which are involved in musculoskeletal growth and regeneration. They are easily found in Indian food , especially south Indian food. And they are definitely to be taken at least once in our meal.
Milk – well we all know from childhood that one glass of milk is required for making kids taller , stronger and sharper. Now, there is large chunk of population who don’t like milk , for them yogurt and chees also is a better option. Make sure you have one form of dairy product in your milk daily.
Soya beans – soya is known to have highest protein content and is very popular among the gym community for this reason .Not only It is beneficial for bone health , it is very useful for preventing cardiovascular diseases and stroke.
Berries – Blueberries and blackberries have highest nutritional values and least sugar content , making it very good for bone and muscle health. If you want to keep one fruit in you diet chart , berries would be a very good option.
Fish – If you are non-vegetarian , fish will be very excellent choice for VIT D and VIT B2, VIT D is in tern useful for calcium metabolism. It is the best non vegetarian food , among non-vegetarian food . it also has high omega 3 fatty acid (it is so useful ill have to make a video on it )
