CHANGE IS INEVITABLE!

Transformation of Leh main market from late 18th century to 21st century. When it was first time opened for the outsiders.

Turtuk is located in the Nubra Valley. Famous for its varieties of fruits, especially apricots. It is 205 km away from Leh and 2.5 km from the Line of Control between India and Pakistan.

INTERESTING FACT: Turtuk was under Pakistani control until the war of 1971, when the Indian Army captured the village.

Diskit in December! 🏔

DISKIT MONASTERY: built in 14th century by the Changzem Tserab Zangpo, a disciple of Tsong Khapa, founder of Gelugpa.

It is situated on the hill, just above the plains of the Shayok River at 10,035 ft. Monastery is the oldest and largest in the Nubra Valley.

A must visit place for every tourist!
