Alright folks, this is going to be a very difficult story to tell, but I feel compelled to share this information. This past week has been an extremely difficult journey for us. Our sweet baby Lily got into one of my houseplants and ended up fighting for her life at the emergency vet for nearly a week. She is now home with a feeding tube and a medication schedule that spans from 7 AM until 12 AM daily. There have been many tears shed, dollars spent, and guilt felt... all because of a $5 plant.

I’d like to spread the word about this houseplant because I had no idea when I purchased it from a big box garden center last summer that this little 6-inch plant would become my nightmare. The Sago Palm is a common house plant and landscaping plant native to tropical regions. All parts of the plants are extremely toxic to humans and animals causing liver failure and death from even minimal exposure. All parts includes the trunk, roots, leaves, and small berry-like seeds that can develop on mature plants. I have seen this plant for sale on the shelves at Walmart, Lowes, and Home Depot sitting among other harmless household plants with zero warning label attached.

***Update: On Saturday, May 16, Lily passed away in our arms. She fought hard, loved hard, and gave us a couple butt wiggles just before she just couldn’t fight any longer. We loved her so very much and gave her all the love and care in the weeks since the incident we could possibly give. We are truly devastated.

If you are a houseplant lover, please research your house plants prior to purchasing. Even if you think the house plant is in a secure location, mischievous little paws may still get into trouble.

Hey guys, let us introduce you to Mr. Don (Pony) and Mr. Dorgie's (doggie) midnight conversation..

So Mr. Dorgie decided to go meet Mr. Don and wish him a woof-woof good night. But when Don said he was bored in his shed, Dorgie decided to stay longer.. and this is how the conversation goes🤪

Dorgie : Is there any food with you?

Don: No Dorg, where? They only give us measured food..

Dorgie: yeah that's what buddy, I am thinking of sneaking out and finding something to munch..

Don: Are you mad, what if you loose your way..? What if they find out...?

Dorgie: You are a spoiler Don.. 🙄🙄🙄anyways thanks for the advise. I might as well Sleep.. 🤣🤣

KHUSHI happiness ❤️ a beautiful girl with a traumatic history. Khushi was picked up from Juhu in 2017, post her check up she was diagnosed with VG ( virginal cancer), Cancer is a serious condition, wheather it's humans or animals. Months of chemotherapy, she recovered fully and bounced back to life. After which she was sent to a shelter as there weren't any adopters for this beautiful baby in 2019. When she was gotten back from the shelter after much effort, as they refused to hand over Khushi to us, may be because they had left her on the streets and still asking us for money. This girl came back to us once again in a miserable condition. thanks to who has been constantly following up on her rescues we finally found KHushi. 3 months in a paid foster, multiple vet checks and treatment, now she has gone to her forever home. Thanks to doctor Vikram dave, khushi is happy and healthy and enjoying her life 🙏🙏❤️❤️

Alex was picked up in a very bad condition. She was almost 18, suffered a dog bit, exposing her to so much pain. On my one phone call proactively got the baby picked up and sent her for treatment.. 15 days into the treatment we hoped Alex will bounce back but she passed away peacefully.. Rest in peace Doll. We are glad that we were there to help you cross over. Run free my love❤️❤️❤️Thank you for bearing the expenses.. 🙏🙏
