SAMPARC Medical Center stands as a pillar of hope and health at Mawal Taluka in Pune District, tirelessly providing exemplary medical care to underserved communities. These initiatives, offering everything from consultations to life-saving surgeries free of charge, ensure that everyone, especially the most vulnerable, has access to crucial healthcare services.

In the year 2023–24, our diverse departments, including OPD, IPD, dental care, vision care, pathology, gynaecology, minor operations, and mobile medical vans, collectively reached 37,735 patients, encompassing even the remote Katkar tribe settlements. Our medical mobile units traverse distant villages, bringing vital medical attention to those who would otherwise lack access.

Recently, our dedicated team achieved significant milestones. On May 28th, aligned with International Menstrual Hygiene Day, we embarked on a mission across 11 villages to educate young girls and women about menstrual hygiene. Embracing the WHO motto "Together for a period-friendly world," we debunked myths and promoted proper hygiene practices, supported greatly by ASHA workers from Sadapur village.

As Maharashtra dedicates June to combating diarrhoea and mosquito- and water-related diseases, our mobile medical team, alongside PHC Karla and ASHA workers, initiated a comprehensive education campaign. Using vivid charts and practical demonstrations, we educated villagers on sanitation practices and disease prevention and introduced innovative methods like using guppy fish to control mosquito larvae. This impactful initiative has already transformed communities in Pimpoli, Devle, and Sadapur, with plans to expand to 11 villages in Mawal Taluka by the end of June.

Our recent eye camps corrected vision for countless individuals across 11 villages, providing free spectacles, eye drops, and medicines. Plans are underway for surgeries for those requiring more extensive treatment, along with ANC blood tests for pregnant women, emphasizing prenatal care and institutional deliveries for older mothers.

Join us in celebrating our journey of health and hope! Together, let's continue to make a difference and build healthier communities for a brighter future.

On June 6, SAMPARC commemorated 34 years of unwavering dedication to underserved communities. Since our establishment in 1990, SAMPARC has been a beacon of hope for rural areas across Maharashtra and beyond, focusing on education, holistic child care, skill development, women's empowerment, tribal development, and community health services to empower individuals and strengthen communities.

The 34th Foundation Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm by our staff members and supporters. Mr. Amitkumar Banerjee, Founder and Director, SAMPARC, Mrs. Ratna Banerjee , Co-Founder SAMPARC, and Mrs. Navnita Chatterjee, Senior Program Advisor SAMPARC, along with the SAMPARC parivaar, welcomed our esteemed chief guests, including Mr. Rahulji Vishwanath Karad, Executive President of MAEER'S MIT Pune, and his wife, Dr. Aditi Rahul Karad, Executive Director of Vishwaraj Hospital. The event was graced by our trustees, Sri Shashikant Katale and Sri Kiran Hulavale. The event also witnessed Sri Ram Dhage and Sadhu Waghmare, Dr. Manda Soman, Professor N.K. Mishra from Singhagad College, Lonavla, and Sri Amit Ovhal, including the Bhaje Sarpanch, and the members of the Bhaje Gram Panchayat.

The celebration began with a pooja, followed by an aarti, and the guests were honored with traditional stoles, potted plants, and coconuts. The children of Bhaje Balgram sang a beautiful welcome song and delivered heartfelt speeches, setting the tone for a memorable day. The highlights of the event included awarding the children of Classes 10 and 12 for their outstanding academic achievements in board exams.

As the festivities continued, everyone enjoyed delicious and sumptuous snacks, creating a warm and joyous atmosphere.

Meanwhile, at Poynad Balgram, the children celebrated the foundation day with a heartfelt prayer and a solemn promise to maintain discipline in their lives and keep their environment clean.

As we look back on our journey, we are filled with gratitude for the unwavering support and dedication of our staff, volunteers, and well-wishers. Together, we have made a significant impact on the lives of many, and we remain committed to our mission of empowering individuals and strengthening communities.

Here's to many more years of service, growth, and positive change. Thank you for being a part of the SAMPARC family!

The children of Poynad Balgram joyously celebrated World Environment Day over two action-packed days filled with learning, teamwork, and fun. Divided into three groups, the children engaged in various activities that underscored the importance of environmental stewardship.

On the first day, the children were introduced to the basics of soil preparation for planting. They eagerly applied their newfound knowledge by diving right into preparing the soil. Meanwhile, our dedicated caretakers and housemothers were busy preparing topics for an extempore and painting competition.

One group took the initiative to clean the entire Balgram premises and neighboring areas, demonstrating their commitment to a cleaner, greener environment.

The second day began with the third group planting seeds and saplings into the carefully prepared soil. In total, approximately 35 saplings were planted, each child taking responsibility for the well-being of these young plants. The day was further marked by cleaning activities, planting more saplings, and beautifying the entire Balgram.

Following these enjoyable and productive activities, all the children gathered to participate in a drawing competition and an extempore session. The two days were filled with fun, learning, and a sense of community.

World Environment Day, celebrated globally on June 5th, is a reminder of our shared responsibility to protect and nurture our planet. The children of Poynad Balgram have embraced this spirit wholeheartedly, contributing to a healthier and more beautiful environment.

We are incredibly proud of our children for their enthusiasm and hard work. Together, we are making a difference, one sapling at a time!

At SAMPARC, our mission is to uplift and empower underserved communities across India. Today, we took a significant step towards this goal by organizing a peaceful rally to spread awareness about the importance of voting. Our children, holding signs with powerful messages, reminded everyone of their fundamental right to vote and its impact on the nation's future.

As India gears up for its sixth phase of ongoing elections, it is crucial to remember that every vote counts. Voting is not just a right but a responsibility that allows us to choose the governance that will shape our country’s future. It is through our votes that we can ensure the correct governance works towards the betterment of our nation, fostering growth, development, and equality.

Our rally in Varanasi was a heartfelt plea to all eligible voters to exercise their rights and participate in the democratic process. The enthusiasm and dedication of our children are a testament to the hope and change that we all aspire to see in our country.

Several states have yet to cast their votes in the ongoing elections. We humbly remind voters in these states of their powerful role in democracy. Your vote can make a difference in creating a better India.

Let’s come together and vote for a brighter, more prosperous future for our beloved nation.

Buddha Purnima, the auspicious day marking the birth, enlightenment, and parinirvana of Lord Buddha, was celebrated with reverence and joy at SAMPARC. This sacred occasion brings a profound sense of peace and spiritual renewal, reminding us of the teachings of compassion, wisdom, and inner peace.

In the serene ambiance of our campus, a heartfelt prayer was chanted by a few dedicated employees on behalf of the entire SAMPARC family. Their voices, filled with devotion and gratitude, resonated with the essence of Buddha’s teachings, creating a tranquil and reflective atmosphere.

Mr. Amitkumar Banerjee, Founder and Directorof SAMPARC, addressed the children of Baje Balgram, sharing insights on the teachings of Lord Buddha and the importance of this day. He prayed for the children under his care and protection, wishing them safety, compassion, and wisdom. His words inspired everyone, emphasizing the values of empathy and kindness that Buddha’s life represents.

Following the prayers, everyone formed a respectful queue to touch the feet of Lord Buddha’s idol and receive blessings. This symbolic gesture connected us to the divine, instilling a sense of calm and blessing each one of us with the grace of Buddha himself.

As the ceremony concluded, prasad was lovingly distributed among all those present. Sharing the sacred offerings symbolized our unity and mutual respect, reinforcing the bond we share as a community. With hearts filled with peace and minds centered, everyone returned to their daily tasks, carrying the blessings and teachings of Buddha with them.

May the light of Buddha’s wisdom guide us all towards a path of compassion, peace, and understanding.

This summer, the children of SAMPARC Bhaje Balgram immersed themselves in the vibrant world of Lippan art during a special workshop. Guided by the talented Mrs. Sharmila Sanjay Shah, former President of the Innerwheel Club of Talegaon Dabhade and currently Director at Jaishma Creation (Creation of Artifacts), the children explored the intricacies of this traditional art form.

Lippan art, a beautiful craft originating from the Kutch region of Gujarat, involves creating intricate patterns and designs using a mixture of mud and mirror pieces. However, for our budding young artists, we used clay instead of mud, making it easier for them to mold and create their masterpieces. This wonderful workshop was made possible by our dedicated Senior Program Advisor, Mrs. Navnita Chatterjee, whose support and organization ensured its success.

Throughout the workshop, the children displayed remarkable enthusiasm and creativity. Their eagerness to learn and excel in this new art form turned the workshop into an extraordinary success. Under Mrs. Shah's expert guidance, each child produced stunning pieces that reflected their unique imaginations and newly acquired skills.

A big round of applause to all our little artists for their dedication and to Mrs. Sharmila Sanjay Shah for her invaluable mentorship. Here's to many more artistic adventures and the joy of discovering new talents!

Today, on International Nurse Day, we extend our heartfelt gratitude to all the incredible nurses who are the heartbeat of SAMPARC's mission. Your dedication, compassion, and tireless efforts alongside our doctors have propelled us beyond our goals of providing exemplary community health services.

SAMPARC operates a rural medical center in Malavli, Maval, Pune, offering a wide array of essential services, including OPD, IPD, dental, vision care, pediatrics, and dermatology. Through the unwavering commitment of our nurses and doctors, we've been able to touch the lives of approximately 21,707 patients annually, ensuring they receive the care they deserve.

But our impact doesn't stop there. SAMPARC proudly runs two mobile clinic units, each equipped with two dedicated nurses and one doctor. These units traverse across 20 villages and 3 hamlets in the Maval Block, reaching out to around 11,307 rural residents annually.

Today, as we celebrate International Nurses Day, we salute the selfless souls who work tirelessly to make a difference in the lives of others. Your compassion knows no bounds, and your dedication inspires us all. Thank you for being the true champions of healthcare!

This wonderful initiative was brought to life through the collaborative efforts of the divisional deputy commissioner of the Women and Child Development Department, Konkan Division.

From May 2 to 11, 2024, the children were immersed in a plethora of engaging activities designed to enrich their minds and hearts. Each day was filled with excitement and learning as they explored various facets of creativity, the arts, and culture.
They delved into the world of art and creativity, experimenting with different mediums such as doodling, calligraphy, mandala art, and lippon art, and participated in drawing competitions, allowing their imaginations to soar.

The camp also provided a platform for the children to showcase their talents in the performing arts. They participated in cultural performances and dance workshops and engaged in skits and storytelling sessions, honing their skills and confidence on stage.
For those seeking adventure, there were thrilling activities such as zip-lining, rope climbing, archery, and outdoor sports, along with obstacle training that gave them an adrenaline rush while teaching them valuable lessons in teamwork and perseverance.
To foster their physical and mental well-being, the children also participated in yoga, aerobics, and self-defense training sessions. These activities not only helped them stay fit but also instilled a sense of discipline and resilience.

Educational field trips were an integral part of the camp, allowing the children to explore the rich heritage and iconic landmarks of Mumbai. These excursions provided valuable insights into history, culture, and urban life, broadening their horizons and nurturing a sense of curiosity about the world around them.

The camp aimed to offer the children a holistic growth experience, fostering their creativity, physical fitness, cultural awareness, and life skills in a fun-filled environment. It was a testament to the dedication and commitment of everyone involved in creating such a remarkable opportunity for the children.

Today, we celebrate the formation of the great state of Maharashtra, a day that holds immense significance in our history. It marks the day when the state came into existence on May 1, 1960.
As we gather to hoist the flag at SAMPARC, let us reflect on the importance of preserving and cherishing our cultural heritage. Maharashtra is not just a state; it's a tapestry of diverse traditions, languages, and beliefs that enrich our lives every day.
It's crucial to instill these values in our children, teaching them to appreciate the legacy of our ancestors and respect the land that provides us with so much. By honoring Maharashtra Day, we honor the sacrifices of those who fought for our statehood and the spirit of unity that binds us all together.
Let us pledge to uphold the values of Maharashtra—inclusivity, diversity, and progress—as we move forward towards a brighter future for our state and our nation. We wish everyone a joyous and meaningful Maharashtra Day!

As the summer holidays paint our days with vibrant hues, our spirits at SAMPARC Balgram soar higher with enriching activities for our cherished children. This season, we've embarked on an exhilarating journey with five girls, handpicked for a transformative experience at a 7-day military camp, courtesy of the Bhonsala Adventure Foundation, Nashik.
