Nostalgic to visit my Alma Mater as Faculty in First Alumni Meet on the occasion of 14th Foundation Day of the Department of Pulmonary Medicine, SGPGIMS

Happy to share that we have started Severe Asthma Clinic at Sahara Hospital offering comprehensive Asthma care, with Biological Therapy Benralizumab administered to a patient of Severe Asthma.

Biologicals have been shown in multiple trials to significantly reduce exacerbations, eliminate need for oral steroids, improve lung function and quality of life in Severe Asthma patients. It can be life changing experience for patients who continue to be symptomatic with recurrent exacerbations despite maximum therapy, or are steroid dependent.

World Asthma Day is celebrated on first Tuesday of May every year to raise awareness about Asthma worldwide.

Asthma is a chronic respiratory condition in which patients may experience breathlessness, cough, chest tightness or wheezing. Symptoms typically vary and may increase in particular season or triggers like pollen grains, dust mites, fumes, cold or exercise.

It is completely treatable condition and patients can lead perfectly normal life is diagnosed in time and patient takes proper medicines.

It is important to consult early if anyone is having such symptoms and do not stop treatment without consulting your doctor.

A very well conducted program and wonderful initiative by Dept. of Pulmonary Medicine and Dept. of Microbiology, SGPGI of adopting 5 villages to strengthen mission of ending TB by 2025
