The college celebrated 100 years of Kakori Train Action. On this occasion, various activities, such as plantation, cleanliness drive, poster making and speeches on Uttar Pradesh's historical monuments were conducted in which teachers and students participated enthusiastically.
The special attraction was किस्सागोई on the historical event by Dr. Neeta Saxena, which displayed Lucknow's rich cultural and artistic heritage.

TO commemorate Women's Day on 8th March, AMPATH laboratory Gomtinagar organised a "free thyroid check - up camp" in the premises of Bhartiya Vidya Bhavan Girls Degree College . Young women were encouraged to take better care of themselves by the Principal and Faculty of the college.

भारतीय विद्या भवन बालिका महाविद्यालय की राष्ट्रीय सेवा योजना इकाई के सौजन्य से महाविद्यालय परिसर में "गाँधी जयंती " का पर्व समारोहपूर्वक मनाया गया। संयुक्त सचिव महोदया, प्राचार्या एवम उप प्राचार्य महोदय एवम अन्य शिक्षकगण के द्वारा गांधी जी व शास्त्री जी के छायाचित्रों पर माल्यार्पण के पश्चात डॉ नीता सक्सेना ने कार्यक्रम का संचालन किया। स्टूडेंट्स काउंसिल की प्रेसिडेंट अर्चना कुमारी ने अपने भाषण में गाँधी जी एवम शास्त्री जी के विराट व्यक्तित्व पर प्रकाश डाला। इस अवसर पर भावपूर्ण नृत्य प्रस्तुति ,व गांधी जी के दर्शन के महत्वपूर्ण पहलुओं पर पी पी टी प्रेजेंटेशन के साथ ही भजन गायन भी हुआ। रामधुन तथा सर्वधर्म प्रार्थना से कार्यक्रम का समापन हुआ।

दिनांक 16.09.2023 को भारतीय विद्या भवन गर्ल्स डिग्री कॉलेज तथा हेल्प यू एजुकेशनल एंड चैरिटेबल ट्रस्ट के संयुक्त तत्वावधान में हिंदी दिवस 2023 को उत्साहपूर्वक मनाया गया।इस अवसर पर "स्वरचित कविता पाठ, वाद विवाद प्रतियोगिता एवं पुरस्कार वितरण" कार्यक्रम का आयोजन जस्टिस वी.के. मेहरोत्रा सभागार, भारतीय विद्या भवन गर्ल्स डिग्री कॉलेज गोमती नगर, लखनऊ में किया गया | कार्यक्रम में कॉलेज की छात्राओं ने अपने द्वारा लिखी हुई कविताओं का पाठ किया तथा "इंडिया बनाम भारत" विषय पर पक्ष एवं विपक्ष में अपने विचार रखें जिन्हें निर्णायक मंडल में उपस्थित डॉ अलका पांडे, प्रोफेसर, हिंदी एवं आधुनिक भारतीय भाषा विभाग, लखनऊ विश्वविद्यालय तथा डॉ अलका निवेदन, प्राचार्या, भारतीय विद्या भवन गर्ल्स डिग्री कॉलेज गोमती नगर, लखनऊ द्वारा जज किया गया |
छात्राओं ने अपनी कविता व विचारों के माध्यम से समाज मे हिंदी भाषा की दशा पर कटाक्ष किया व यह भी बताया कि हिंदी हमारी मातृभाषा है, हमारा अभिमान है| हमें अपनी मातृभाषा पर गर्व होना चाहिए |
स्वरचित कविता पाठ की प्रथम तीन विजेताओं को डॉ अलका पांडे व डॉ अलका निवेदन नें स्मृति चिन्ह व प्रशस्ति पत्र एवं वाद विवाद प्रतियोगिता में पक्ष एवं विपक्ष की प्रथम विजेताओं को स्मृति चिन्ह व प्रशस्ति पत्र देकर सम्मानित किया सभी प्रतिभागियों को सहभागिता प्रमाण पत्र से सम्मानित किया गया | तथा वाद विवाद प्रतियोगिता की विजेताओं के नाम इस प्रकार हैं:

इस अवसर पर डॉ अलका पांडे ने हिंदी भाषा के परिष्कृत व्याकरण पर प्रकाश डालते हुए वैश्विक स्तर पर उसके महत्व की विवेचना की ।

डॉ अलका निवेदन ने प्रमुख हिंदी साहित्यकारों का उदाहरण देते हुए छात्राओं को जीवन मे अधिकाधिक हिंदी भाषा के प्रयोग हेतु प्रेरित किया ।

कार्यक्रम में भारतीय विद्या भवन गर्ल्स डिग्री कॉलेज के उप प्राचार्य डॉ संदीप बाजपेई तथा शिक्षिकाओं डॉ छवि निगम, डॉ प्रियंका सिंह, पलक सिंह, ममता यादव, श्वेता विश्वकर्मा, प्रिया श्रीवास्तव, डॉ चित्रा मोदी, नजमा शकील, डॉ नम्रता सिंह, यामिनी शर्मा, रसिका कनौजिया, आलोक मिश्रा तथा छात्राओं की गरिमामयी उपस्थिति रही |

On the occasion of World Ozone Day (16th September, 2023) the Institute of Wild life Sciences, University of Lucknow in association with the Environment Awareness Cell of Bhartiya Vidya Bhawan Girls Degree College organized a Poster making competition on the topic "Save Ozone" in which students of B.Sc., B.A. and B.Com. participated very enthusiastically. Special thanks to Professor Amita Kanaujiya ma'am, coordinator EIACP-PC-RP/Institute of Wildlife Sciences, University of Lucknow for organizing the competition at our college and Dr Sandeep Bajpai coordinator Environment Awareness Cell for his supervision in conducting this event.

भारतीय विद्या भवन गर्ल्स डिग्री कॉलेज गोमती नगर लखनऊ मे हिंदी विभाग -भाषा संवाहिनी द्वारा हिंदी पखवाड़ा के तत्वावधान में 9 सितम्बर को भारतेंदु हरिश्चन्द्र जयंती मनायी गयी जिसमें महाविद्यालय की समस्त छात्राओं एवम शिक्षिकाओं ने अपनी गरिमामयी उपस्थिति दर्ज करा कर भारतेंदु जी जीवन , उनके साहित्य, समाज और देश के प्रति महत्वपूर्ण योगदान के महत्व का मनन किया। कार्यक्रम का शुभारंभ महाविद्यालय की प्राचार्या डॉ अलका निवेदन तथा अन्य शिक्षकों ने भारतेंदु जी की प्रतिमा पर तिलक लगा कर किया। महाविद्यालय के उप प्राचार्य डॉक्टर संदीप बाजपेई ने हिंदी के महत्व को रेखांकित करते हुए छात्राओं को अपना आशीर्वचन प्रदान किया ।भारतेंदु हरिश्चन्द एवं नवजागरण' विषय पर बी. ए. तृतीय वर्ष की छात्रा अर्चना कुमारी एवम सुप्रिया श्रीवास्तव ने महत्वपूर्ण विचार रखे। बीकॉम प्रथम वर्ष की छात्रा हर्षिता सिंह ने भी सुरुचिपूर्ण कविता पाठ किया। इस अवसर पर आयोजित पोस्टर, स्लोगन एवं काव्य पाठ की साहित्यिक प्रतियोगिताओं में छात्राओं ने उत्साहपूर्वक भाग लिया। कार्यक्रम का सफल संचालन हिंदी विभगाध्यक्ष ममता यादव ने किया| कार्यक्रम का समापन डॉ. छवि निगम ने सबका धन्यवाद ज्ञापित कर किया

अंतरराष्ट्रीय गिद्ध जागरूकता दिवस 2 सितंबर, 2023 को भारतीय विद्या भवन महिला महाविद्यालय में एनवायरमेंट अवेयरनेस सेल तथा जंतु विज्ञान विभाग के संयुक्त तत्वावधान में गिद्ध संरक्षण विषय पर ग्रीटिंग कार्ड प्रतियोगिता का आयोजन किया गया I जिसमें बीएससी द्वितीय वर्ष एवं बीएससी तृतीय वर्ष की छात्राओं ने उत्साह पूर्वक सहभागिता की एवं उक्त विषय पर जागरूकता संदेश के साथ ग्रीटिंग कार्ड बनाकर अनेक पुरस्कार एवं प्रशस्ति पत्र प्राप्त किए I कार्यक्रम का शुभारंभ महाविद्यालय की प्राचार्यi डॉक्टर अलका निवेदन ने दीप प्रज्वलन के साथ किया I उक्त अवसर पर एनवायरमेंट अवेयरनेस सेल के कोऑर्डिनेटर डॉ संदीप बाजपेई ने अपने भाषण में इस दिन की महत्ता को समझाते हुए गिद्ध संरक्षण के महत्व पर प्रकाश डाला I इस अवसर पर डॉ प्रियंका सिंह, डॉ नीता सक्सेना, डॉ छवी निगम, ममता यादव, नजमा शकील, डॉ चित्रा मोदी, श्वेता विश्वकर्मा, प्रिया श्रीवास्तव, श्री आलोक मिश्रा, डॉक्टर नीति शर्मा उपस्थित रहे I

Healthy mind lives in a healthy body ", keeping this gospel in view , Bhartiya Vidya Bhavan observed International Yoga Day on 21st June in the college premises.
On this occasion, the famous Yoga instructor and a proud alumna of our college Ms Sheetal Modi taught and performed Yoga Asanas and various Mudras. All the faculty members and students were immensely benefited and vowed to make Yogabhyas an integral part of their lives.

A visit to Kukrail Ghariyal Rehabilitation Center, Lucknow

A Zoological academic tour for the Students of B.Sc. Semester-IV of Bhartiya Vidya Bhawan Girls Degree College, Vineetkhand, Gomtinagar, Lucknow was scheduled on 07-06-2023 for the study of animal breeding center under the stewardship of Dr. Sandeep Bajpai, Head, Department of Zoology and coordination of Dr. Chitra Modi & Ms. Nazma Shakeel, where students gained knowledge about the captive breeding & conservation of the freshwater ghariyal (Gavialis), one of the three native species of crocodiles in India. They also observed local birds, butterflies and different variety of trees. Along with this, students also visited the Zoological Museum and learned about soft shell turtle conservation.
Special thanks to principal ma'am, Dr. Alka Nivedan for making all the necessary arrangements for smooth conduction of the tour.

A spiritual talk was organised by Swami Abhedaanand ji Maharaj , Acharya of Chinmaya mission South Africa in campus of Bhartiya Vidya Bhavan degree college and public school Lucknow.
In her welcome address the principal Dr Alka Nivedan threw light on the highly intellectual and philosophical profile of honourable Swami ji. He and Kaushik ji maharaj were duly garlended and felicitated by senior members of the college management committee.Accompanied by his ardent disciples and followers, Swami ji quenched the spiritual thirst thereby illuminating young minds through his candid and intelligent discourse.students and faculty alike felt gratified by this interactive session. Jt secretary Mrs Malti Tyagi profusely thanked him along with all others who'd contributed towards success of this program.
Beside students, teaching staff of public school as well as faculty from Bhartiya Vidya Bhavan Girls Degree College were also present. The principal Dr Alka Nivedan, vice principal Dr Sandeep Bajpai, Dr Neeta Saxena, Dr Chhavi Nigam, Dr Priyanka Singh, Dr Chitra modi, Dr Namrata, Ms nazma Shakeel, Ms Palak Singh, Ms Priya Shrivastava, Ms Sanjana Shrivastava, Ms Mamta Yadav, Ms Shweta Vishwakarma and others attended this wonderful session.
