DRL ties up with Lilly for Covid drug

Hyderabad: Dr Reddy's Labo ratories (DRL) has inked a vo luntary licencing agreement with US-based pharma giant Eli Lilly for the manufacture and commercialisation of Co vid drug Baricitinib in India. The development comes a cou ple of days after Cipla and Sun Pharma entered into royalty free, non-exclusive licencing agreements with Lilly for the medicine. Baricitinib, which
is a rheumatoid arthritis drug repurposed for Covid, has received restricted emergency use approval for use with Remdesivir for treatment of Covid in hospitalised adults.
