No sign ,house or planet is good or bad in itself. They have their fixed characteristics (naisargik karkatva) along with their functional characteristics (occupation & lord ship in the horoscope). This is the first part.
Second part is no single planet , house or sign offer any quality or event to a native but always a group of them do it i.e. group of houses , sings and planets lead any quality or event for the native.

Now for the first part again ...
6 , 8 , 12 houses are in general called as dushtsthana. As the writing would become very long so i will explain only concerned subject to understand. 6 or 8 or 12 houses when get active alone they should not be treated as bad or malefic house. Only 6 with houses other than 8, 12 will offer career growth , increase in income , property , vehicle ,loan , sickness/ wound (with 1 but not chronic or life threatening without surgery / hospital) etc .
Only 8 without 6,12 too offer many good things(we must understand to blend the properties of houses, signs and planets).
And 12 without 6, 8 too behaves the same.

Now understand each house is having a chief property (naisargik )
6 is war ( fight for everything we come across ) how one will fight

8 is ayu (this needs a lot to explain but I am giving some short ) means life span and ayu is end with death so normally people call it house of death but it's not it should be called ayu. Now this ayu or death is a mysterious point as all things ahead of it is mystery so it is a house of hidden things. Hidden capabilities are here. Digging and digging and digging ...

12 is moksha and popularly called loss. Now loss is things going away from native (intentional or not) so sharing which is very important property to any native could be read from here. Giving away anything without an expectation is 12 (moksha is detachment from everything )

So when these 6,8,12 house come alone they would work as per their other group houses are active.
For example if 2 connects 6 native goes for loan and when 2 connects with 8 native repays the loan.
1 connects 6 without 8, 12 there would be sickness or wound.without any accident / hospital / surgery.

1 connects 8 without 6,12 there be accident (without serious wound & hospital / self learning occult subjects or practice .

1 connects 12 without 6,8 native will travel unknown / religious / spending with sharing as per other group members(houses)

Now 1 connects 6,8,12 native will meet an accident with serious wounds and admit in hospital and goes for major surgery (mars , rahu etc or malefic effects). This will only jaoon when the lagna chart has the promise for the same.

So the concept is when they make a group they would become undesirable.

Single line astrology (very popular these days) or thumb rules lead one far from understanding and application of right approach.
Vedic astrology is very easy and simple to apply just the approach should be right.

Horoscopes and remedies -01

A lot of people ask me many questions and doubts about remedies.

Below is a brief effort I am trying to make every one understand how and when remedies should be approached.

Vedic astrology has very strong background about predicting events and properties. It has very deep concept of karma theory that relates all events and properties of a native with horoscope and states the reasons behind events that happened and events that doesn't happen to native.

Remedies are no doubt essential part of this knowledge and Vedic astrology has very vast and logical base behind anything . I am giving here the preface part of that to make things clear. Though it is not the full and complete remedial theory as this has a lot of more surprising things if learn step by step and with right approach.

Remedy is important but when ?
Is there every thing and every time we need that or astrologer should go for remedy ?
Does remedy work?
How should we follow this?

Innumerable doubts and questions could be there and I am explaining some very basics.
We get the results of our horoscope in form of events and properties we have.

First type of events that we get comes from our natal combinations and that's final and there can be no alteration possible and that's called destiny . Neither these events /properties can be vanish out nor these can be minimised or maximised so no remedy is going to work on natal promises. If someone is destined to have a comfortable and blessed married life nothing can destroy it and visa versa. If someone is not destined to have a child birth no remedy can make it possible. So natal combinations are unchangeable events.

Second type of results come from major and minor periods of planets one go through . Now it is to understand that these major and minor periods (popularly called dasha bhukti antara etc) are used to time the events and properties as per natal promises and these planets offer what they have through their functional signification in the horoscope. But as planets never forget their natural significance or property they in addition offer those properties in their dashas. Say some person is running through Jupiter' dasha. Now Jupiter may be a good planet for the native or a bad one as per significations it has in the natal charts. Still as Jupiter is a natural benefic planet it will for sure offer respect to native in its period doesn't matter how bad it is offering to native. These results (from natural significance of planets) can also not be finished but remedies work on these results and native can decrease or increase the quantity and quality of result through remedies.

Third type of results one get from transits of planets. As we all know planets are ever moving bodies and so their positions in respect of natal positions of planets creat distinct relationships that creat events and properties. Now these combinations may be a repeat of natal promise and may be these promises (by transit) are absent in natal promises.
So these results can fully be vanished out if undesirable and can fully be utilised if desirable. So for sure remedies will work here.

We have gone through on where remedies would work and on what they won't work .

Second we knew the amount of events that can be controlled through remedies.

Next important thing is remedies are very specific and to be advised on specific horoscopes and there should be no general remedy.

Next important thing is to decide on account of horoscope which type of remedy native should be advised . For example chanting mantra , fasts , donation of specific goods , gem etc.

All above is just a starting points of remedies. It has a very vast area of specialisation and one should not jump ever in a hurry.

Moral of the story is remedies are rare and they should not be picked or advised each and every reading or problems.
Medicine like paracetamol is very good only if one has fever.

Use of Amsha rulers of planets in divisional charts lead key information that can be used to predict easy with more detail very quickly. Agree....?

Arudhas are the physical manifestations of houses. Use these to predict events and you will get more accurate and bold prediction. No may or might be there.

Vedic astrology clues: Concept of arudha and divisional chart -
Vedic astrology has very deep foundation regarding prediction and many tools are used to reach at events . But some concepts are essential and must be followed to meet right approach.

While learning this divine knowledge the toughest part is to find the right approach and guide.

As taught by sage Parashara in his classic Brihat Parashara hora shastra divisional charts is a must to be read by an astrologer to find events in concerned divisional charts. Lets first understand why?

Sages used least words in their teachings and no extra or unnecessary word they have ever selected. And so when Parashara says lagna (ascendant ) is body , moon is mind and sun is soul. By saying this in his starting teaching he indicates to read body through ascendant , phycological (manas ) attitude through moon and atma (the consciousness of being ) through sun. Now one can easily understand that he is indicating to use different reference point to count houses. When you count house from ascendant it's always the first house and when you start count from moon's position that house becomes the first and if the reference point be taken sun then the house sun is sitting in the horoscope becomes the first house . Now placements of planets in signs be unchanged but their placements from different reference points changes and so we can understand different properties to concerned reference.

The same concepts one could accept regarding divisional charts . Sixteen divisional charts are required at least to find different area of life as taught by him has very sound and clear vision. Let's understand this through an example. Say some house has some malefic planet in a house in ascendant chart. Now normal rule is any house has malefic effect get distracted and bad or undesired results be there through this house. Now let's take the house 5th . 5th house is seen for ability , children , love and affection , speculation , high position etc . Many more things too could be read from this house. Now if one observe nit all area seen worst in native's life. Why ?
Simple reason is for children we are taught to read D7 (saptmansha chart) and if d7 is promising children and assuring happiness from them native would certainly be blessed . Now say a bad 5th house in d20 (chart of spiritual progress) will lead decreasing ability in spiritual field and similarly in different d charts 5th house will have different effects and it will meet to native as per the effects. That is why predicting through only d1 becomes doubtful and readings go sometime right and sometime wrong and so possibly , may be , likely to be words enter in predictions . So first essential term is to select right divisional chart when predicting.

Second is arudha . How and why ?
The concept of arudha is as concepts of reflection of light by a mirror. Arudha is of two types . One is arudha of house and second is arudha of planets. We will limit our talks in this article to arudha of houses. Let's understand how it is find. Say any chart ( lagna or any divisional chart) has lagna and it's lord. Now we will see how far the Lord of that house is sitting from its house. So in our case lagna lord placement from lagna is to be counted. Say lagna lord is sitting in 3rd house. So we will count 3 more houses from where lagna lord is sitting (our example 3rd house) and we will find 5th house as arudha place of lagna and it will be called Arudha lagna as it is arudha of first house.
Similarly for each house we can find arudha and they will be called arudha pada for concerened house.

Now what is the use of it and how we can find it fruitful in predictions. Arudha means rising one or in my words visible one. Arudha tells things that is measurable. What does that mean. This whole world is created in two distinct division I.e satya or truth and maya or illusion. Truth is the house and illusion is the arudha.
Now understand this.
5th house is ability and in different d charts the ability is regarding concerned area of life . In d20 5th house is ability for spiritual progress. Now what can be the ability for this area of life ? It's dedication only. It's not knowledge not riches or caste or colour or origin etc. Only dedication lead one proceed on spiritual path.
Now 5th house is true ability and this can not be seen. No body could be able to even know own ability . Then how we see people's ability. We see ability by seeing how one meditate or what mantra one chants or how one is seen following one's spiritual path. That visible part is arudha. So in d20 5th house will show real or true ability and arudha pada of 5th house will tell about physical manifestation of that ability that people around one could see.
In short arudha is image and building of image done on account of visible things.

For example say two students are in same class. Now their true ability in now visible but their marks , merits , awards or scholarship make people judge their ability and so these visible physical things are to be seen from arudha pada of 5th house in d24 as d24 is chart of learning. See where arudha pada of 5th house is sitting and what planets connecting that pada. In the joint dba ( dasha bhukti antara etc) one' s ability will be recognised or simply one will have above results. Check it out in your and other charts. See where arudha pada of 5th house is then note down planets connecting to it by conjunction , aspect and it's sign lord. Find their joint period and you will find results were excellent that time. So for material maya world arudha is very important .

One can follow similar procedure in different d charts like d10 is chart of karma. One can find arudha of all houses and judge events through it. You will find magical results with accuracy.

One important thing is left while calculating arudha pada is parashara takes exception in this. He says when arudha pada is found in the same house (if lord is sitting in own house) or just in front of ( in 7th house ) ( if lord is sitting 4th from house ) then arudha will not be acceptable. Why will be answered in some other article. But what should be done when such situations happen. Calculate where arudha pada is found ( same house or in 7th) and calculate 10th house from there . Arudha will be accepted there.
