😐😯Gynaecological problems are increasing and increasing. Why? Because probably our lifestyle and diets are not as good as our parents/grandparents had. Probably the environment has become wayyy too toxic and polluted. 😞😞
One major problem that’s on rise is - INFERTILITY and one of the reasons for infertility now is “DELAYING THE PREGNANCIES TO BEYOND 35 years of age”. Delaying the planning for pregnancies lead to decline in ovarian reserve of a woman and thus decreasing fertility. Butttt guess what??? There is a way out of this problem..😎😊
And it is. “EGG FREEZING” . Let’s know the good and bad points of this procedure and how and where can it be done. 💗💗
INFERTILITY! Such a difficult time for the couples emotionally and physically. But but couples, there are so many ways with which you can conceive and attain your dream of parenthood!!!
It’s a possibility that the reason for your infertility has still not been evaluated properly! So what are waiting for?
This patient came after a long struggle of infertility but so many years she had put into treatment but it’s sad that her cause to infertility was not found out. When I asked her “do u know what’s the reason for your infertility?” She looked blank at me and said “Mam, no. I have no answer”.
On careful evaluation of her causes for infertility it was found out that she is not ovulating timely and also her husband semen count is low.
Medicines were given to correct both male and female infertility. After I was satisfied with their reports I performed a cycle of IUI.
IUI is Intra Uterine Insemination. It’s an OPD procedure. It’s very very different than IVF and is much cheaper and less complex.
Unwanted pregnancy? A couples nightmare. It’s a difficult time for a couple. Not just it puts them in a dilemma but it’s risky for a female’s body. It affects her health - emotionally , physically. Let’s not let unwanted pregnancies affect you.
There are so many contraceptives available . Emergency contraceptives are those that prevent you from pregnancy and are taken after unprotected in*******se. However girls!! Please ❌don’t rely on them always. They are just for EMERGENCY!!!

ISTHMOCOELE or cesarean scar defect can sometimes cause such great trouble to you!!! Like you can have:
1. Bleeding throughout the month- sometimes bleeding sometimes spotting sometimes clear
2. Infertility
It is very easy to diagnose. It can be easily picked up by your symptoms and an ultrasound.
It can be treated by medicines/ surgery depending on your symptoms!! Laproscopic and hysteroscopic surgeries are an answer to this problem with great results 💫💫

Today, I educated the staff and students of Guru Nanak Dev Engineering College about various common gynae problems. Almost every girl/ women faces gynae problems at some stage in her life but sometimes she doesnot know which symptom points towards which problem and whom to talk to.
Also the staff was made aware about various gynae cancers like cervix cancer, uterus cancer and o***y cancer. Various myths associated with cancers, reasons and causes of increasing cancer these days and how can we prevent ourselves from such cancers were also told. They were also told about the various treatment options available for treating gynae cancers.
October is a breast cancer awareness month and the staff and students were also told about causes of breast cancers and that treatment of breast cancer is now easy and available with good cure rates. They were also told about SELF BREAST EXAMINATION and when to go to doctor.
The staff and students interacted very well and cleared their doubts and queries.

Got an opportunity to interact with very eminent doctors of their respective fields and talk about some challenging gynae cases that I have tackled at Fortis Hospital Ludhiana. But what if breast milk is less - Then there are many medicines, diets, food items , techniques to increase the supply. 💁♀️
If you are away at work or cannot feed the baby directly - PUMP AND STORE!!! Pump your breast milk- both manual and electric pumps available. Store your milk for as long as 6 months!!
If you just don’t want to pump -Then it’s ok, perfectly ok. Don’t drown yourself in any form of guilt. Go ahead and formula feed but be careful about the sterilisation of bottles and all the parts. 🧑🏻🍼🧑🏻🍼
In short, just enjoy this blessing of motherhood and chill! People around you are there to help. Breast feeding time is difficult but worth it. Soon it would be gone and you would miss it ❤️

It was a privilege to be a panelist for a session moderated by Dr Hafeez Rehman on a very important topic of Mullerian abnormalities of uterus where issues like absent or small uterus, unicornuate , Bicornuate , didelphys ( double uterus), uterine septum were discussed at length and very thoroughly.
An important message to young girls is that if they are suffering from problems like painful periods, no periods till the age of 16-17 years they should consult a gynaecologist soon as it can point towards a uterus abnormality. Also repeated abortions , painful sexual in*******se can be because of such abnormalities.
