Applicants to Master’s and doctoral programs who submit their study permit application before December 31, 2024, will NOT need to submit a Provincial Attestation Letter (PAL). Current students are not typically impacted by the PAL requirement unless they intend to apply to a new program of study.

Starting in 2025, new Master’s and doctoral students will need to submit a Provincial Attestation Letter (PAL) as part of their study permit application. We will share details of the new process as soon as we have more information.

Effective November 1, 2024, university graduates will need to demonstrate a Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) score of 7 to be eligible for a Post-Graduation Work Permit. With the strong entry requirements our students already meet, we are confident this won’t be a barrier to student success.

Spouses of graduate students in a program of study of at least 16 months remain eligible for a work permit.

There are no changes to the Post-Graduation Work Permit for university degree graduates. The following UCW programs are recognized for PGWP eligibility based on the new policy after November 1, 2024 -

Undergraduate Programs
      1. Bachelor of Commerce (BCom)
      2. Bachelor of Arts in Business Communication (BABC)

     Graduate Programs
      1. Master of Business Administration (MBA)

We are now officially open for the Jan 2025 intake on the OCAS portal. The following types of program are open in the Jan-25 intake:

1. Bachelor of Arts
2. Bachelor of Business Administration
3. Bachelor of Fine Arts
4. Bachelor of Science
5. Bachelor of Social Work
6. Bachelor of Arts (BA) or Bachelor of Science (BSc) combined with Bachelor of Commerce
7. All the Post-Baccalaureate Diploma programs.
8. All Masters’ Programs Closed

We are now accepting IELTS scores of 6.0 overall, with no band less than 5.5, for Post-Secondary programs from India and other South Asia countries.
This adjustment opens more opportunities for applicants to qualify for our programs.

Canada 🍁(IRCC) announced on Wednesday that international students will soon be able to work up to 24 hours per week off-campus. This new rule is set to take effect by this autumn, increasing the previous cap of 20 hours per week during academic sessions.
