The Artisan Collective at NOVUS is back!!!
It's been two years now since our inaugural & the brilliant response to having local artists sell their handmade artefacts & products at the 4 day launch.
In these two years we have constantly supported & enabled many local artists to get their products displayed, a platform to introduce themselves & conducted art-jams where several of our artists conducted workshops so that people get an insight into what goes into making a piece of art & why it is so valuable.
Here we are yet again doing what we do best & launching two new artists .and.easel & who would love to have you over to see their works of art & support them.
We also have for the very first time in our city the pioneer of Gerontology who is introducing this course at St Aloysius College,she will share with us her insight & practical experience on the topic , she also is a self published author with her Book Mai & i a heartwarming story that all children & adults will love , so come on over to meet & greet our local author & get your copies signed.
To kick off the Festive season we have students of singing & ringing in some yuletide cheer
We have on sale the handmade products of inmates of Cheshire home ,Do come & support them.

The Terrarium Workshop at Vanamahotsava Miniscapes saw the birth of 17 little green universes in glass bowls under the guidance of the gifted Mr Gyan Shetty of .
It was amazing to watch people of different age groups work in unison at creating these beautiful little green worlds truly showing us that plants make people happy.

Lighthouses!!! something about them that's mystical, magical, & more than anything a testimony of strength & safety. That guides the sailors at sea safely to shore.
It evokes a sense of wonder within us.
After a long dry spell at the Glowing Corner Art-Jams due to Road repair works on our street, we came up with this Collage art workshop with Suneera of .
The technique of composing an artwork by gluing a wide range of materials - including pieces of paper, fabric, newspaper clippings, and sometimes readymade objects - to a canvas, this kind of art is used to promote freedom of choice and artistic expressions. The less structured materials of collage allow one to cross the bridge from insecurity to creativity , basically saying you don't need to be an artist or have any art skills to come participate in this workshop ☺️
Along with some poetry to listen & enjoy the art process , it will truly be an enjoyable session.
So come on over let's make some Lighthouses✨

The client gave us a brief saying they wanted something that would be significant of the event & at the same time something useful, and not just lie in a cupboard gathering dust somewhere.
Given the groom is a pilot & the bride a doctor, we thought time together is what they would value the most given their busy work schedules & thus came up with this exclusive wall clock made by our local artist Mr Shabbir.

Back to School & it's the flu everywhere, was pleasantly surprised to find my sick son reading this particular book as it's not one from his usual genres. After the Ukraine war broke out I felt our children despite all the access to media & news are disconnected from what a person really goes through during times of war & felt maybe reading a book might help them understand it better. Without knowing much I was intrigued by the description on Amazon & have copied the same below for anyone interested.
Do check it out. It seems to have struck the right chord & is definitely an interesting read . Looking forward to reading it myself 🙃

This semi-autobiographical classic, written by the beloved Judith Kerr, completes 50 years & tells the story of a Jewish family escaping Germany in the days before the Second World War.
Author Judith Kerr OBE was born in Berlin. Her family left Germany in 1933 to escape the rising N**i party, and came to England. She studied at the Central School of Art and later worked as a scriptwriter for the BBC.
She left the BBC to look after her two children, who inspired her first picture book, The Tiger Who Came to Tea. Published in 1968 and never out of print in the fifty years since, it has become a much-loved classic and perennial bestseller.
Judith was awarded the Booktrust Lifetime Achievement Award in 2016, and in 2019 was named Illustrator of the Year at the British Book Awards. Judith died in May 2019 at the age of 95.

Despite the onslaught of the Monsoons we still have days that look like this & today is one such too☺️ it feels as if with each heavy downpour the skies & clouds appear as fluffier & bluer(if that is even a word😜) than ever .
Nature mimicking life , neither can we predict what will happen next , nor plan & brace ourselves for impact, because no matter what it is going to affect us sometimes negatively sometimes with great positivity.So all we have is the now ,our present & we should make the most of it in each moment.
Discovered this beautiful lake area in my city with a lovely play park for children & a walking track.
Gujjarkerre,a sacred lake with a history dating back 1800 years , it's waters were said to have healing properties, recently uplifted & restored to look this beautiful. Absolutely serene spot & watching those ducks swimming around was so therapeutic .
Those with little ones a nice spot you can try beyond Kadri park & Gandhinagar park. Those like me despite kids being teenagers 😜we just love going & taking in the sights & sounds of nature. Dont Miss visiting this spot.
P.S. if you are lucky take a close look at the ducks there , we found one that appeared very rare to us.

We all celebrate Christmas with great enthusiasm & fervour, but Easter which personally I believe is a bigger feast as it's only because of this event that we are Christians!!! is very quiet & subdued as a feast. Although I have always celebrated it & decorated my home , mostly everyone looked at me like I was weird or just laughed it off as another thing Crazy Glo does 🙃
Have always wanted an external representation of this Holy event which wasn't set around bunnies & eggs, although I love those elements & have a cute collection of those as well, Something more similar to our Christmas crib.
And here it is ,The Resurrection inspired from Pinterest & brought to life by Mr. Shabbir of in our own city of Mangalore so beautifully .
This year more than ever it carries more weight & meaning for me personally, that there is hope & there is a greater meaning to life than just going about our everyday mundane routine.
Celebrate Easter and the majesty of His crucifixion and resurrection, and our eternal salvation by His atonement and faith in Him, may you fully appreciate the power of the cross with this carefully handcrafted set of 12 pieces.
