ACIC RISE Association, CEC, Landran, Mohali, organized Ideathon- Samridth Gaon Pratiyogita on 26th April 2022. The event was exclusively designed to support the ideators to come up with innovative ideas to solve the problems of semi-urban and rural areas, addressing agriculture, farming, community problems, etc. The event was also attended by experts from rural areas for an open panel discussion to review challenges and opportunities in rural entrepreneurship while adopting and supporting natural farming practices, traditional and healthy food, organic clothing, traditional handicrafts, and traditional cookware, permaculture farming, co-operative farming, and other sustainable initiatives. Dr. Harbinder Singh, Associate Dean Research highlighted the role of the ACIC RISE Association to support and nurture Community Innovators to solve problems faced by the community. Prof. (Dr.) P.N. Hrisheekesha, Campus Director, CGC Landran, expressed that the scope of innovations in farm activities is huge and can act as an engine of growth for the rural economy. Smt. Rupsi Garg, Associate Director, Kheti Virasat Mission, the chief guest of the day, shared the wonderful initiatives taken by Kheti Virast Mission in introducing a holistic approach inclusive of physical, mental, and spiritual health. ATL COMMUNITY DAY CELEBRATION
ACIC RISE Association, Landran Mohali, Celebrated the Community Day on 22nd April 2022. In which students from two nearby schools were invited to witness the innovations taking place at ATAL Community Innovation centre that has been set up by AIM NITI Aayog at Chandigarh Engineering College, CGC Landran, Mohali. The initiative of Community day celebration aims to foster an environment of innovation and creativity by exposing children from nearby schools to various 21st-century skills and resources available in the ACIC RISE Association, Landran. The community day was attended by 50 students from Gillico International School, Kharar and Learning Paths School, Mohali along with their mentor teachers. Dr. Harbinder Singh, enlightened the students about the facilities at ACIC RISE Association and how the students can convert their ideas into prototypes and file patents. The students had a fun filled learning experience wherein they participated in the design thinking workshop. The young innovators created the tallest tower using the newspapers in innovative ways, applying the principles of design thinking. Later they tried their hands on drone simulator, 3 D printer and the Jarvis an Artificial Intelligence (AI) based assistant that has been created the start-up’s incubated at ACIC RISE Association.
