I recently read this novel ~ The forty rules of love that changed my perspective about LOVE in so many, sharing one of them rules here that really resonated wit me as a reminder for both you and me ~

At 33 my life is not what I had imagined it would be(and pretty happy about) ~ I have no life plans beyond 2 months from now, live on my own terms, 1000 miles away from what a conventional “successful” life looks like ~ if there's anything this year taught me it's that plans are often nothing more than a safety net for the mind ~ but when you let go of control and surrender to the FLOW, things turn out far, far sweeter than planned. 🍭(just my opinion)

One of the most simple advices I got recently was to SMILE- even when you don’t feel like it, even if you have to force it, even if you have to fake it (genuine smiles hit different tho), when you wake up in the morning, when you’re conversing or even doing yoga.
The mere act of smiling releases endorphins, dopamine and serotonin in the body, tricks your brain into a good mood and actually makes you look cuter (or sometimes creepy, swipe for creepiness) ㋡
The next time you're feeling low or stressed, make yourself smile and notice how you feel 🌈

🦋eat and shop local and eat plant-based as much as you can
🦋leave no trace behind especially in nature
🦋 carry your own bottles and bags, avoid plastic things
🦋 slow travel to fullly immerse yoself in the culture
Beautiful pictures here, but the reality is slightly different on this island- a lot of the beaches are trashed (swipe until end for reality), had to really seek out a clean beach for swimming, the island is overdeveloped, there’s 100x more seafood than there is people on the island, an overuse of plastic, unethical animal tourism to some degree and it just made me really sad!

For me, absolutely anytime I need to recharge I go into nature. Somehow is releases any energy that I've picked up that's not my own. 🦋
A few other ways to incorporate grounding rituals throughout the day, like taking some deep breaths, driving slower, tuning into your heartbeat, stopping to look at flowers and bugs, the little things, ya know 🧚🏻

‘Flow’ is a state of being - a mental state of being totally in the zone to the point where you forget about time and space 🌀
Flowing with my breath and being fully in the now, has taught me to flow through life. Things I manifested, actually happened because I stopped holding on to those expectations and this mindset led me to have the best experiences, opportunities, connections and relationships which I’m so so grateful for.
So, here’s your reminder to find your flow state with any activity that completely absorbs you, whatever that is for you 🌊
